Entering soul Society, the group encounters new enemies, new allies and others that lay somewhere in between.
While Ganju and Honataro rescue Rukia, they are thwarted by Byakuya on a poetry run. But then it's all pointless. In his inner world Ichigo overcomes his own self-doubt. But then it's all pointless. His battle with Kenpachi concludes, the better man left standing. But then...it's all pointless.
Ichigo recovers from his battle with Kenpachi and confronts Byakuya. Elsewhere, Mayuri encounters the a nemesis with a personal grudge. Which doesn't come up.
Renji tracks down Ichigo to train for Bankai, only to suffer terrible rejection. Hitsugaya becomes vocal about Josh's fate, and stumbles upon Gin's terribly kept secret. DRAYHGEN.
The amount of Fate Stay/Night UBW content in this episode was unintentional and welcome. Oh, um... Renji fights Byakuya. Gin does things too.
