Depressed by the antics of the other ghosts, Casper leaves home to make friends. After unintentionally scaring several potential pals, Casper befriends two young children. They take him home, where Casper frightens their mother. Casper is again upset because he believes that he will always scare away his potential buddies. However, Casper scares away a banker who is coming to foreclose on the woman's house, and this wins her heart for Casper.
Casper makes friends with a fox cub.
Casper the Friendly Ghost, sad that he can make no friends since everyone he meets is afraid of him, hatches an abandoned egg and becomes the emerging little duck's best friend and protector. Casper's third and last short from 1949 in the "Noveltoons" entry until his own cartoon series in 1950.

They review scenes from "Casper's Spree Under The Sea," "Once Upon A Rhyme" and "To Boo Or Not To Boo." Eventually Casper himself emerges from a poster on the wall and scares the writers away. Casper explains that he thought up that gag to end the cartoon!
Spooky and Casper have the ballpark all to themselves, except that Casper has a date to take Wendy to the beach. Spooky is angry and plays mean tricks on them- first with a giant crab, then with an octopus. Wendy angrily blames Casper for all of Spooky's tricks and demands to be taken home. Wendy the Good Little Witch makes her first and only appearance through the theatrical shorts.
When a crate containing a baby ostrich named Ozzie gets left behind, Casper decides to bring Ozzie to his new home.
Cousin Spooky is back and at it again when he sets out to play April Fool's Day pranks.
