This is the life journey of Ashoka the Great. It starts with Acharya Chanakya's dream where he sees Emperor Chandragupta in the form of a lion trying to warn him of a future disaster. While on the hunt, Mir Khorasan's son Aslan and King Bindusara are ambushed which leaves Aslan dead and King Bindusara fatally wounded.
Bindusara develops an attraction for Shubhadrangi who takes care of him after he gets wounded. Soon they get married, but in a planned attaack Dharma manages to survive and gives birth to Ashoka.
The episode starts with a 14 year leap when Ujjain's leader Shaktiraj declares war on Bindusara. Both Acharya Chanakya and Radhagupt are led to a street play where they meet with a 14-year-old Ashoka.
The episode starts with Acharya Chanakya questioning Dharma about the lion's crest. Acharya Chanakya gets Ashoka arrested by the guards in order to lure Dharma to the palace. However, Ashoka escapes.
The royal healer is blackmailed by Helena and Justin to prepare a poison to kill Bindusara. Helena tries to coax Ashoka into admitting to the crime.
Ashoka is presented in the court where Helena and Justin announce a death sentence for him. Radhagupt brings out the assailant who tried to kill Acharya Chanakya. However, the assailant kills himself with Justin's sword.
Bindusara asks him as to how he would like to be treated. Ashoka cockily replies that he should be treated like a king. Acharya Chanakya requests to recreate the scene of the crime and proves Ashoka's innocence.
Ashoka refuses to stay in Pataliputra but Dharma convinces him otherwise and also asks him to listen to Acharya Chanakya. Ashoka is taken to the horse stable and asked to look after the horses.
Out of sheer jealousy, Sushim kicks Ashoka and humiliates him, that doesn't deter Ashoka. Sushim challenges Ashoka to race against his horse. Ashoka accepts the challenge and manages to beat Sushim and his horse.
Bindusara is very happy with the victory of Ashoka and proceeds to give him a reward . Prince Sushim gets angry and goes to his chamber and lets out his frustration and anger.
King Bindusara announces that the one, who is able to catch the monster, will be rewarded with 50 gold coins. Without a sigh, Ashoka vows to catch the monster.
Charumitra comes to know that the demon has carried away Ashoka. At the demon's den, seeing Ashoka laugh, the demon tortures him.
Justin goes to Helena and tells her to do something or everything will be lost. Ashoka is leaving for the forest, but stops in his tracks, and remembers the words of Acharya Chanakya, 'Did he catch the right demon?'
Ashoka is able to convince Khallatak to check Sushim's body for a birthmark. A scared Sushim informs his mother. King Bindusara instead of going to any of his queens' room, takes Dharma to his secret room.
Dharma finds out that King Bindusara never sent Mir Khorasan to kill her. Ashoka vows to punish Sushim, in his own way. Ashoka informs Balgovind that Sushim is the monster.
Ashoka decides to not leave the palace until he discloses the monster's truth. Dharma learns about Susheem's ploy against her son and convinces King Bindusara to listen to the whole truth before coming to a conclusion.
Shocked by Susheem's evil behavior, King Bindusara apologizes to Ashoka for trusting his son and not him. Seleceus Nicator joins hand with Queen Helena to help conspire against Acharya Chanakya and Ashoka.
In his attempt to make Ashoka trust him, Bindusara tells him that they are friends. Helena and her allies succeed in their plan of poisoning the water in the palace and blaming Ashoka and Acharya Chanakya.
Justin plants the poisonous herb in Ashoka's luggage, and meanwhile Susheem tells the soldiers that one of the stable hands must have stolen his ring.
Rakshash is really upset with Shatkroor's disappearance and that their failed plan. Ashoka refuses to join the Royal Academy when his mother shows her displeasure on the matter.
Acharya Chanakya informs Helena of how he is aware of her ploys against him and Ashoka. Helena decides to have Dharma killed and have Acharya Chanakya blamed for it.
Dharma accompanies Bindusara on a hunting trip and Ashoka finds out about it. Ashoka and Siyamak become friends. Helena devices a plan to trap Dharma, and kill her.
Ashoka wins in a competition against Indrajeet which impresses Acharya Shresht. Bindusara, on his quest to find Shubhadrangi, finds her dead body.
Helena is seen celebrating after her plan of killing Dharma succeeds. Acharya Chanakya gathers strength to inform Ashoka of his mother's demise.
Bindusara is shocked to find out the truth about Ashoka being Dharma's son. Ashoka falls unconscious the following morning. Bindusara carries him to the royal healer.
Before meeting Bindusara, Acharya Chanakya goes to pay his respects to the Dharma's body and notices that there are no defensive wounds on the body. Ashoka refuses to believe that his mother is no more and vows to find her.
Acharya Chanakya is worried for Ashoka since he isn't willing to accept that his mother is dead. Ashoka decides to recite the 'mahamrityunjay mantra', the great death conquering verse, on one foot to pray for his mother's safety.
Bindusara removes his crown in order to complete the last rites of Shubhadrangi. Ashoka continues to recite the 'mahamrityunjay mantra' while Bindusara performs the last rites.
Charumitra sternly tells Khallatak that he shouldn't let Acharya Chanakya overrule him and influence the king.
Bindusara questions Acharya Chanakya on his decision to let Ashoka go. Helena instigates Charumitra to make Sushim take advantage of the situation and get close to Bindusara.
On his way back to his village, Ashoka decides to rest for a while. He is confronted by a lion and is later found unconscious on a bed. Sushim tries to please Bindusara as per Charumitra's instructions.
Ashoka finally reaches his village and waits in vain all night long for his mother to come home. In the palace, Charumitra is seen performing black magic on Noor who is spending some quality time with Justin
Ashoka begins to hallucinate about having found his mother. Helena devices a plan to leave the palace. Bindusara along with Mir Khorasan and Akramakand enter Ashoka's hut and are shocked by what they see.
Mir Khorasan seeing the stone kept by Ashoka calls him mad and tells him that his mother is dead. Queen Helena goes to meet King Rajajiraaj to plan their conspiracy.
Acharya Chanakya along with his disciple and informers gets some leads about the woman who had escaped from the hut. Helena is day dreaming about murdering Bindusara with her own hands and smiling.
Dharma confronts Acharya Chanakya and asks him that why is he stopping her from revealing to Ashoka that she is alive and well. Sushim is very angry on coming to know that why does Bindusara favor Ashoka more than him.
Dharma tries to escape but is followed by Mir Khorasan into the jungle. Dharma is rescued at the right time by Acharya Chanakya and taken to a safe place., Helena questions Justin that does he feel that Noor loves him.
Bindusara is pleased to see Sushim in the jungle and hugs him. Justin is worried about the proposal of King Rajajiraaj to give his daughter's hand in marriage to him.
Sushim is waiting patiently for Ashoka to slip and fall of the cliff into the gorge. Bindusara arrives there and tying a rope to his waist jumps off the cliff to save Ashoka.
A servant comes to the queens chamber and informs them of the King's return along with Ashoka. Dharma is taken to the royal kitchen by the in charge and shown around the kitchen.
Ashoka enters the royal school after vowing to protect his motherland at any cost. In the queen's chambers, a servant comes there and informs them that Justin is getting married to the niece of the King of Ujjain.
King Rajajiraaj tells Princess Agnishikha that the time has come for her to take her revenge from Bindusara. Charumitra asks Helena that she feels that this is a conspiracy brewing against the King.
Mir Khorasan asks Bindusara about the reason for appointing Akramak as a teacher in the royal school. Siyamak walks up to Ashoka and asks him the reason for being late.
Noor comes and questions Charumitra that why is she so happy with the marriage of Justin. Ashoka gets ready to take up the challenge of Sushim.
Ashoka goes to the kitchen of the royal school and asks for food, but the in charge asks him to come on time. Ashoka then moves towards the class, but is attracted to a sword in the armory room and walks towards it.
King Rajajiraaj and Princess Agnishikha are given a royal welcome into Patliputra by Helen and others. Bindusara leaves for the royal school with Acharya Chanakya for the annual games of the school.
A royal feast for the welcome of Princess Agnishikha and King Rajajiraaj gets underway. Akramak comes there and tells Ashoka not to participate in the royal games, as he is not ready for it.
Ashoka saves Princess Agnishikha's younger sister from burning as her dress catches fire. The royal games start in the royal school.
Shresht Acharya tries to put Helena in a tough spot, but the Queen has her own plans. The foot race begins with Ashoka taking an early lead, but the race takes an interesting turn.
Ashoka somehow manages to get himself out of the ditch and continues with the first leg of the competition. Noor hits out at Justin for all the miscommunications that has happened between them.
Sushim takes steps for the downfall of Siyamak and Ashoka. Helena continues to plot in harming the Mauryan Empire and implements them.
Helena faces trouble in carrying out her plans to get Justin the throne as she discusses the complete plan with her partner in crime. Siyamak takes the lead as the games are nearing its close.
Bindusara sends out a search party to find Ashoka, who has fallen into a river filled with crocodiles. Meanwhile, Sushim is adjudged the winner of the second leg of the competition.
Ashoka's mother is concerned for him as he is being considered a traitor by a lot of people. Noor is about to walk in on Justin cheating on her but is stopped by Helena.
Ashoka challenges Sushim to have a competition without any lies and deceit. Siyamak blasts Sushim for cheating in the challenge, which takes an interesting twist.
Ashoka, who is in a critical condition, is visited by his mother. Bindusara and Ashoka have an intense conversation. Elsewhere, Sushim is practicing for the games and later goes on to threaten Ashoka.
Sushim and his friends make fun of Siyamak and Ashoka and boast about Sushim's greatness. Princess Agnishikha walks up to Justin and tells him that she is waiting for the day their marriage will take place.
Dharma is able to save herself from the royal guards. Meanwhile, Shresht Acharya is relieved to hear that Dharma is safe. Elsewhere, the final leg of the games begin.
Shresht Acharya has an intense discussion with Ashoka. Elsewhere, Helena is planning her own moves.
Sushim and 9 other contestants enter the next stage of the competition. Shresht Acharya praises Ashoka and advises him to keep working hard. Meanwhile, Sushim plans to not let Ashoka be a part in the competition.
Sushim plans Ashoka's downfall and shares it with Dhrupad. Elsewhere, Ashoka's mother comes to know that Sushim has planned something against Ashoka.
Ashoka is able to free himself from the trap that Sushim had set up for him. In the meantime, Ashoka questions his mother about all their troubles.
Bindusara welcomes Helena's father and is given a nice gift. Justin and his grandfather carry out the 'bhumi pujan'. Elsewhere, Shresht Acharya comes to know about Ashoka getting to know that his mother is still alive.
Charumitra is ready to do anything to make Sushim, the king of Magadh. She shares it all with Khallatak. Seleceus Nicator and Helena discuss how they will take revenge from Magadh and make Justin the king of Magadh.
Shresht Acharya is concerned about seeing a person from the past. Elsewhere, Ashoka apologizes to his mother. The final leg of the competition is about to start.
Sushim is told by his mother to stay serious about the competition till the end. Meanwhile, Siyamak is asked to defeat Sushim at all cost. Shresht Acharya is concerned that Ashoka's truth will have to be told to Bindusara.
Sushim is praised by the members of his group. They discuss their plan against Ashoka. Elsewhere, Siyamak and Ashoka are concerned about not having water and food.
Sushim and his team are the first to finish the first leg of the race. Meanwhile, Ashoka and Siyamak are able to finish the first leg by helping each other.
Ashoka notices Sushim's unsuccessful attempt to attack him, but doesn't know who did it. Sushim is asked to not be a coward by Vasunandan.
The 'haldi' ceremony of Agnishika is going on in the palace. Noor mixes some itching powder in the 'haldi' and applies it on her body.
Noor's plan to get Dharma in trouble is foiled as Princess Agnishikha blames her. In the meantime, Ashoka helps Siyamak in the final leg of the competition.
Subaho questions Ashoka about the intention of winning the competition. Meanwhile, Sushim and Ashoka are the lone entrants into the final leg of the competition.
Noor takes out her frustration on Siyamak, who had to quit the competition. Bindusara informs Ashoka and Sushim about the final leg of the competition.
Sushim and Ashoka engage in a fight to get their hands on the sword of Chandragupta Maurya. Subaho is unable to find a way to finish the competition. Later on, Ashoka saves Sushim from the attack of a tiger.
Ashoka who is on the last leg of the competition and is getting close to being crowned the best warrior of Magadh, tries to save Sushim from a tiger. In the process, Ashok drops the sword.
Shresht Acharya tries to convince Dharma to tell Bindusara the complete truth. Meanwhile, Bindusara is happy to hear that Sushim has got the sword of Chandragupta Maurya and will soon reach the final destination.
Dharma looks around for Ashoka and faces taunts about him finishing second. Meanwhile, Bindusara announces Sushim to be next in line to the throne and hopes for his success.
Acharya Chanakya guides Ashoka to think about his future. King Rajajiraaj declines the marriage proposal brought by Helena, and is told to change his decision.
Shresht Acharya informs Bindusara he has another son who is also in-line to be the King.
Bindusara apologizes to Shresht Acharya for Sushim's mistake. Charumitra is informed about Bindusara's anger and is asked to find a solution soon. Bindusara appoints Ashoka as the chief of his army.
Ashoka shares his concerns with his mother and seeks forgiveness. Bindusara questions Siamak about what he would do if he was made the King.
Ashoka informs Acharya Chanakya that he overheard the conversation about his father being in the same city as him. Meanwhile, Acharya Chanakya asks Ashoka to accept Bindusara's offer.
An informer comes to tell Helena about Ashoka, but he is killed on the way. Justin tells Princess Agnishikha that he is ready to give her the respect she deserves.
Ashoka tries to get information about his father from Mai. Justin and Princess Agnishikha's relationship is formalized. Ashoka is told about his grandfather being killed and house being set on fire.
Ashoka is handed the symbol of the Mauryan Empire which was found at the house where he stayed as a child. Princess Agnishikha questions Helena as to why she is interested in finding Ashoka.
Helena informs Ashoka that he has to play an important part in Justin's marriage. Bindusara checks on the security arrangements for Justin's marriage while Shresht Acharya wants to stop Justin's marriage.
While no one can find Acharya Chanakya, Ashoka pledges to bring him back. Acharya's subordinates suspect a foul play.
Ashoka, Siamak and Sushim think about the responsibilities of the Chief of Army. Radhagupt tells Ashoka about his doubts regarding the Shresht Acharya going missing and also tells him about a plan to ruin the kingdom.
Prince Sushim shares a few romantic moments with Princess Ahenkara. Susheem gives her a gift.
Dharma feels that Bindusara is searching for her. Ashoka tries to figure out as to how Shresht Acharya got kidnapped. Bindusara questions Mir Khorasan about Dharma being alive.
Noor Khorasan is worried about Dharma's reality and discusses the issue with Charumitra. Ashoka goes through a secret tunnel thinking about a way to find the kidnapped Shresht Acharya.
Bindusara asks Mir Khorasan to search Dharma as soon as possible. King Rajajiraaj questions Helena as to whether their plan has been figured out by Bindusara.
Mir Khorasan orders the doors of the palace to be closed. Justin is shocked on overhearing the conversation between Helena, Princess Agnishikha, King Rajajiraaj and Nicator.
Radhagupt questions Helena if everything is alright and is later asked about Shresht Acharya. Ashoka and Akramak are able to find the secret entrance to the tunnel.
Bindusara thinks as to why Dharma is hiding from him and plans to find her soon. Ashoka continues his search for Shresht Acharya and plans out his next move.
Ashoka decides to enter the new palace at any cost. Helena gives Justin a surprise and he gets shocked with it. Radhagupt is informed about the secret behind the new palace.
King Rajajiraaj is questioned as to why the new palace is dark and he responds to that. Ashoka is informed by his friends that they will stay close to him to help him when in need.
Queen Noor tells Justin that Siyamak is his son. Ashoka shares information about the new palace with Akramak and decides to inform Bindusara about it.
Ashoka finds a secret tunnel in the new palace, but hides in time from a soldier. Radhagupt informs Akramak about the secret behind the new palace. Mir Khorasan is able to locate Dharma.
Ashoka gives Radhagupt a suggestion to get Dharma's help to treat Shresht Acharya. Dharma tries to save herself from Mir Khorasan and is helped by Ashoka in time.
Helena asks Justin and Agnishikha to come to the old palace. The new palace catches fire. King Rajajiraaj shares his concerns with Nicator and Helena.
Ashoka is able to set himself free. Justin tries to convince a soldier to let Siyamak go, but Bindusara takes control of the situation. Ashoka comes across an unconscious Bindusara.
The Royal Family manages to escape from the burning palace. Bindusara regains his consciousness and Ashoka helps him.
Bindusara asks everyone not to question Ahenkara. Justin shares his concerns about King Rajajiraaj with Nicator. Bindusara announces that Ashoka is the prime candidate to be the next King.
Ashoka tells Sushim that he knows how to carry out his responsibilities. Ashoka tells Shresht Acharya that he is ready to help him find the person responsible for the attack on the Royal Family.
Ashoka gets complements by the King. Mir Khorasan shares his concerns about being not trusted by Bindusara with Noor. Sushim shares his concerns about Ahenkara with Bindusara.
Ahenkara is informed about Bindusara's decision. Helena and Nicator get into an argument. Akramak gives Bindusara an update on the search for King Rajajiraaj.
Siyamak tells Mir Khorasan that Justin may have known about the attack. Justin declines Bindusara's request. Ashoka informs Akramak that the person he is questioning is King Rajajiraaj.
Helena acts shocked on hearing that King Rajajiraaj planned the attack. Ashoka informs Ahenkara about her father being captured. Bindusara questions King Rajajiraaj.
King Rajajiraaj tells everyone that Shresht Acharya planned the attack. Bindusara asks Shresht Acharya to disclose the name of the conspirators. He tells Ashoka about Varahmir's involvement.
Radhagupt questions Bindusara as to what he will do if Shresht Acharya is proved guilty. Ashoka saves Varahmir. Justin discloses that he was behind the attack on the Royal Family.
Queen Helena tries to protect Justin. Justin is given the death penalty. Justin threatens King Rajajiraaj, who is concerned about his daughter Ahenkara. Ashoka shares his concerns with his mother.
Ashoka is concerned about the whereabouts of King Bindusara. A soldier informs King Bindusara that King Rajajiraaj wants to tell him something important, which worries Nicator.
Nicator tells King Rajajiraaj that he will take care of Ahenkara. Noor Khorasan wants to meet King Rajajiraaj. Shubrasi loses her cool on Dharma and Ashoka overhears the conversation.
Queen Helena apologizes to Justin. Justin shares his concerns about Siyamak with Queen Helena. Queen Helena tells Seleceus Nicator that they could tell King Bindusara the truth and take all the blame.
Siyamak tells Queen Helena that Justin might be innocent. Ashoka shares his concerns with Dharma, who gives him some advice. Queen Helena tells King Bindusara that she wants to kill Justin.
Radhagupt questions Shresht Acharya regarding the truth. Ahenkara gives Ashoka a letter to be given to her mother. King Bindusara questions Justin if he has one last wish.
King Bindusara asks about the whereabouts of Siyamak. Mir Khorasan gives Siyamak some medicines to be able to control his emotions and Noor sees it.
Noor questions Dharma. King Rajajiraaj requests King Bindusara that his daughter should not be punished for his mistake. Queen Helena announces that she would carry out Justin's punishment.
Queen Helena cries after handing Justin his punishment. King Bindusara is told about an important meeting. Noor Khorasan tells Queen Helena that they need to take care of Siyamak.
Queen of a foreign land tells her soldiers to inform King Bindusara about an imminent attack. King Bindusara asks Ashoka to protect Ahenkara and not come for the war.
Ashoka stops Susheem from attacking Ahenkara. King Bindusara orders for the preparation of war. Queen Helena tells Nicator, Mir and Noor that King Bindusara himself will kill Dharma.
Queen Helena questions Mir as to how the enemy army reached Panipat without anyone noticing. Queen Niharika sends a message to King Bindusara. Dharma advices Ashoka to not get involved in the war.
Ahenkara tells King Bindusara that she wants to stop her mother. Queen Helena tells Nicator that they have to stop the war. Ashoka tells the Ujjain soldiers that he wants to meet Queen Niharika.
Ashoka threatens the Ujjain soldiers. Ashoka requests Niharika to stop the war. Queen Helena wants to convince King Bindusara to have peace talks with Niharika.
Mir Khorasan reaches the camp to meet Queen Niharika. Ahenkara comes forward to meet Niharika. King Bindusara questions Niharika as to who is the traitor.
Queen Helena questions King Bindusara. Queen Niharika shows proof about Dharma being alive. Shresht Acharya says that he trusts King Bindusara and Niharika questions him about Dharma.
Niharika questions Queen Helena about what they will do if King Bindusara doesn't believe her. King Bindusara takes out his frustration on a statue of Dharma.
King Bindusara announces that Dharma is innocent until proven guilty. Queen Helena tells Mir Khorasan that there is a chance that Dharma will try to escape. Siyamak questions Ashoka as to what is happening.
Noor Khorasan questions Siyamak as to why he is packing his clothes. Ashoka tells a few soldiers that he wants to question Irawat. Ashoka accepts the challenge of Irawat to fight one of his men.
Dharma overhears Mir and Noor's conversation on how Ashoka is a big threat. Helena shares with Mir how sushim will become the King
Noor tries to convince King Bindusara that Sushim will eventually forgive Ahenkara and they should get married soon. Ashoka thinks the enemy of his mother and Queen Dharma is the same person.
Shresht Acharya warns Dharma that it won't be long before Mir Khorasan finds her. Dharma yells as King Bindusara gets hurt during the 'havan' and Mir notices her.
Akramak stops Mir from attacking Dharma. Ashoka gets to know that King Bindusara had got married to Shubhadrangi. Shresht Acharya tells Radhagupt about why he asked Akramak for help.
Shresht Acharya asks Dharma to not be concerned about Ashoka. Queen Helena tells Niharika that over time King Bindusara will accept Susheem and Ahenkara's marriage.
Queen Shubrasi asks Charumitra to let Dharma defend herself. A maid informs Shresht Acharya about the trouble Dharma is in.
Shresht Acharya stops Ashoka from following Dharma. Helena backs Charumitra about punishing the maid. Ashoka discloses to Bindusara that Queen Dharma had given birth to his son.
Bindusara questions Ashoka. Noor tells Mir that the situation needs to be handled soon. Helena tells Noor and Mir that Bindusara won't hide the truth from her.
Ashoka questions Dharma as to why she is punishing herself. Helena tells Bindusara that she understands why Dharma went against him.
Niharika tells Mir, Noor and Helena that if the truth comes out, then she won't spare anybody. Ashoka wants to punish Mir. Mir overhears the conversation between Ashoka and Siyamak.
Rajkumar questions Ashoka as to how long Dharma will keep punishing herself. Mir Khorasan starts following Ashoka. Ashoka tells his mother that he knows the truth about her.
Bindusara has sent Akramak to the village to find out the truth. Helena asks Shresht Acharya to take an oath. Sushim thanks Ashoka for disclosing about him having another brother.
A soldier tells Mir Khorasan about the conversation between Sushim and Ashoka. Shresht Acharya tells Helena that she has blamed Dharma without even meeting her.
Bindusara overlooks at Ashoka having a conversation with Dhrupad. Sushim tells Noor that Ashoka doesn't know as to who is Dharma's son. Bindusara announces a grand celebration for 'Janmashtami'.
As Dharma is asked to go ahead and do her work, Bindusara walks into the room to check on a utensil. Helena keeps a check on Shresht Acharya.
Mir sends his man behind Ashoka to find out what he is carrying in the earthen pot. The Queen questions Bindusara about the extra pot.
Helena and Noor plan to get Sushim killed. Dharma gets a feeling that Ashoka has got to know the truth. Ashoka saves Siyamak.
Sushim and Siyamak get blessings from Bindusara. Ashoka notices Shresht Acharya drop a paper. Mir questions Ashoka about his plan to find Dharma.
Sushim hits his friends for talking inappropriately with Ahenkara. Sushim asks Ashoka for his help to fulfill his promise. Siyamak tells Ashoka that he is part of their family.
Helena thinks that Acharya Chanakya is up to something. Ahenkara questions Ashoka about Dharma and her son as Niharika and Mir look on from afar.
Amidst the confusion surrounding Magadh about King Bindusara's verdict, Queen Noor and Queen Helena conspire against King Bindusara on his birthday. They plan to make Siyamak the next king.
On the occasion of King Bindusara's birthday, the queens try to impress him. Ashoka is planning a precious gift for King Bindusara since he is reconciling him with Dharma.
King Bindusara shares his wish of getting Sushim and Queen Ahenkara hitched. Mir has his doubts on Ashoka, who is performing a dance for King Bindusara.

Dharma warns Keechak about abducting her as Ashoka will be furious and will come to rescue her. Later, Devavrath falls to the ground when he hears the news of Dharma's abduction. He then pledges to bring Dharma back at any cost.
Helena tricks Bindusara so that Sushim is next in line to the throne and orders Sushim to kill Ashoka. Elsewhere, Keechak kills Aacharya Devavrath, who still manages to tell Ashoka about his mother's abduction.

Ashoka enters a cave where he finds the Tantric who tries to attack him from behind. However, Kaurwaki alerts Ashoka just in time and he kills the Tantric with his sword. Later, the Tantric's corpse is found hanging with a warning from the evil Kaundana.

Lasandra and Ashoka's alliance brings Helena to the court and Bindusara is astounded to see her alive. However, Siamak kills Helena, seeking Bindusara's sympathy. Siamak demands that he be sent to Takshashila. Will he be allowed to go?
Bindusara breaks the suspense by picking Kaurwaki over Anandini as a bride for Ashoka, and Chanda for Sushim. Earlier, Lasandra influences Siamak and Sushim for crippling the throne by robbing the kingdom's vault and holding Ashoka responsible.

However, Devi's confession, the very next morning, makes Ashoka realise his mistake and he immediately rushes out in search of Kaurwaki.
On finding no change in Kaurwaki's feelings towards Ashoka, Jagannath loses his temper and pushes her off a cliff. Is this the end of Kaurwaki? Elsewhere, Devi and Ashoka plan to leave for Patliputra as they fail to find Kaurwaki. But while stating his facts before Bindusara, everyone is shocked to find that the latter is dead. Sushim is declared King, by Radhagupt, and the former gets Ashoka arrested. Earlier, Kaurwaki vents out her anger on Jagannath.
Determined, Ashoka plans on saving Kaurwaki, Vitt and Devi, who are held captive by Sushim. Sushim then demands Ashoka to surrender or deal with dire consequences. Sushim falls for Ashoka's trap and eventually gets killed. The very next day, a grand ceremony is organised to honour Ashoka as the new emperor. However, Princess Chanda arrives at the ceremony and accuses him of killing his brothers.
