Kate gets to see a little more of Sawyer than the rest of us are able to see on network TV. That's the highlight of the episode for Sawyer, as he beats up Boone for going through his stuff, and he's also suspected of knocking Sayid out. When Shannon has an asthma attack and needs her inhaler, Jack and Sayid knock Sawyer out and Sayid tortures him to find out where the inhalers are. Sawyer reveals he doesn't have them, but Sun is able to help Shannon with eucalyptus leaves. Sawyer gets stabbed through the arm, and during his recovery, Kate figures out that the letter Sawyer carries around is actually a letter he wrote as a child when his parents were killed. Sayid is troubled by his actions, and decides to leave the camp for a while, and map out the island. While he's walking the beach, he comes across a cable that leads out to the ocean and down to the Looking Glass Dharma station. While following the cable into the jungle, he runs into one of Rousseau's traps and is caught.
