Includes a visit to Thruxton for a race meeting of the Classic Saloon Car Club, Simon Taylor is at Alexandra Palace for the London Classic Motor Show and a classic car auction in Hampshire and Dave Beckett reports on the restoration of a 1933 Aston Martin Le Mans which will be followed through the series.

Sarah Matravers is at Santa pod for the largest VW event in Europe – Bugjam, Simon Taylor is at Sion Park in Brentford for the London to Brighton Classic Car Run and Dave Beckett is at Glorious Goodwood. Also includes a comparison between a 1956 VW Beetle and the current (1999) version.

Dave Beckett speaks to owners of an MG Midget, Ford Cortina Mk2, 1951 Ford Prefect and a Triumph 2000 Mk1 and shows that owning a classic car needn't be expensive. Simon Taylor and Sarah Matravers drive a Citroen Traction Avant and a DS.

Sarah Matravers visits Keswick Motor Museum which houses several famous vehicles, including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the A-Team van and the DeLorean from Back To The Future. Simon Taylor is at the Beaulieu AutoJumble. There is a feature on the Austin J Forty pedal car, and we see the completed Aston Martin Le Mans. Finally, there's a countdown of the top 10 cars of the 20th century, as voted by readers of Classic and Sportscar Magazine.
