Bet plans an exotic dinner party. Jack gets Vera to agree to settle with just a fire. Bet annoys Alec by spending all day preparing for the dinner party. Jack takes possession of the fire and decides to install it himself to save money. Ken is furious when Deirdre is too busy to visit Tracy. Bet is upset when Rita and the Hallidays have to call off the dinner party. She forces Emily and Mavis to take their places.
