Successful Hairdresser Allie Henshall has hopes of winning the National Hairdressing Championships, and also wants to open a second salon, but her husband Gavin has other ideas... he wants a baby. Allie finds the perfect place to have the second salon but a mystery buyer outbids them. Allie soon discovers that the new owner, Mia Bevan is married to Finn, a man from Allie's past - and he wants her back...
Blade Runner, Mia's salon, seems to be getting all of Henshall Ferraday's clients and Eugene discovers it's no accident. A celebrity photo shoot up for grabs and Allie and Mia are fighting each other for it. Finn manages to get secretly involved with the celebrity photo shoot and secures the contract for Allie, also telling her that she just has to say and he'll divorce Mia.
Allie agrees that she and Gavin should start trying for a baby. Mia and Allie are both hired to do hair and make up at a wedding, and Allie can no longer resist Finn's temptations.
Gavin discovers Ruby's secret. Shane's debts force him to resort to desperate measures, and the identity of the Henshall-Ferraday mole is revealed to everyone.
Gavin, Eugene and Tom attend a "Secrets of Success" seminar, Allie attends a hairdressing seminar which is gatecrashed by Mia, and Finn makes the decision to leave Mia.
It's the regional heat of the hairdressing competition, but Allie is missing. Afterwads, Finn and Allie meet their Long-Lost Daughter... Finally, Allie must make a difficult decision... Finn or Gavin?
It's one month after Allie chose Finn over Gavin, and she returns with Finn from their holiday in Naples. Finn takes Allie to a new state of the art health and beauty spa, Celestium. Brawdie shows up for a cut and blow dry, to prepare herself for Tom's 60th birthday disco party, but Allie talks her into having the full Celestium treatment. Brawdie looks fantastic as a result of the pampering, and becomes the life of the party at the disco. A big argument kicks off at the party, with Ruby announcing the different partners Finn has had, information provided to her by the scheming Mia of course.
With Allie out of the picture, Darcey takes the opportunity of replacing her in Gavin's business and bed. Finn, Allie and Gavin are all nominated for "Hey! Manchester" awards. Mia has been working as an escort, so Gavin offers her a job.
Allie and Finn take Ruby for a day out a Blackpool. Darcey continues to plot her and Gavin's future, and there's an incident involving the Manchester Ship Canal which gets Calypso a TV spot.
Remi and Calypso enter a Poptartz competition, which in turn reveals a dark part of Sydney's past. Mia and Sydney both "spring clean" their lives, and Zinnia issues a warning to Finn about his future with Allie.
Two of Finn's children, Layla and Jodie, turn up on his doorstep. Finn and Allie have trouble looking after them both, so Allie calls in the rest of her family to help her out. Finn takes them all back to Byzantium, his bar, and they all have fun making cocktails and other drinks. Unknown to anyone, the two children put alcohol in their drinks. Mia shows up just as this is happening, and sees it happen, but keeps it to herself. The two children become sick, and Finn is worried that their mother won't let him see them again because of his bad fathering.
As Najat and Zaki Amjad close their shop and relocate to Eccles, Finn becomes suspicious of the local property sharks. Finn decides that it's now time that he and Allie sort out their divorces, and Allie and Gavin arrange to meet to talk things through. Finn's decision backfires, because when Allie and Gavin look through old photographs of their wedding, they remember how good they were together.
Finn reveals a shocking truth in a confession to Eugene. Allie again has to choose between Gavin and Finn, and things come to a close with both salons going up in flames!... and it's not Sunni Khadir behind it.
