3x01 Semper Infidelis

[Obligatory rant about how this amazing show is ending way too early and HOW COULD YOU, STARZ?!]

Okay, now that that's covered we shall proceed.

Wow, just wow. It looks like the team behind DVD wants to make a lasting impression on us fans because this first episode was flawless. Flawless cinematography, music, sound effects, script and acting. It's really interesting how all these allegiances are teaming up and we won't know the outcome until the end.

Leo's mother... oh my God... my heart broke into a million pieces when Leo had to fire against her, and then all the jerks at Naples were cheering him and trying to give him lots of money. But since the Turks are now so clever (by STEALING Leo's inventions) maybe his mother is somehow okay?

What a fascinating character Riario is turning out to be. He's with the Sons of Mithras now but I don't really know if that's where his loyalties really stand. The way he acts is so puzzling that you don't really know. I heard the body count this season is gonna be super high but I pray (pun intended) that Riario is not in it yet.

I'm starting to like Lucrezia (after 2 seasons, lol) but only because she turned out to be the real Pope's daughter and all that. I'm preparing myself to seeing her with Da Vinci in the mandatory but oh so boring 'hot' scenes between them. I've really given up on the hopes that the writers set Leo up with someone else at this point.

I'm missing Nico and Vanessa. Surely they'll play their part on the story as well because it'd be boring to see only big men with big weapons, lol.

Anyway. I suppose this review is useless for the ones who have already watched all the 10 episodes but as a huge fan I couldn't miss reviewing at least the season premiere :D.
