Sit, Mick. Fetch, Mick. Good boy, Mick. Woof! BEST LINE HAHAHA.
I honestly can't blame Mick's decision at all. After everything he's done for the team. Sucking up and trying to be the good guy they still treat him like a godamn criminal and an idiot. They got what was coming to them and I don't think they have any right to be angry to him. Especially Jeff. Juming at the chance to blame Mick. :|That being said tho, I do think he's gonna rewrite reality which would in someway help the legends and not let the others reality come true. People would stop calling him an idiot then haha.I kinda have this bad feeling that he's gonna sacrifice himself. God I hope I'm wrong.
"Amaya, take the Backstreet Boys."
Can I get that on a T-shirt, please?
Oh, this episode made me feel nostalgic. I remember back when I was a little baby nerd - 11, maybe 12 years old - I was completely obsessed with The Lord of the Rings. I would watch the entire trilogy (extended editions, no less) almost every weekend. Years have passed and I've moved on to other franchises (I've practically sold my soul to sci-fi, space operas and superheores at this point), but my love for LotR still remains. I was delighted by all the references in this episode. By far my favorite was Rip's speech mirroring that of Aragorn's in "Return of the King".
I'm not religious, but I was born and raised in a country that's 95% Roman Catholic, so it was a teeny tiny bit weird for me to hear the Legends casually say the words "Jesus' blood". I guess it's kind of hard to treat Christ as a historical figure instead of our Lord and Savior when you've only heard other people call him the latter your whole life.
Nate: "Maybe they don't know how to use it."Legion of Doom: immediately know how to use it
Yeah, we're fucked.
Oh boy! Snart hype! I need the Waverider eight here, right now! Plus, we get to see freaking J.R.R. Tolkien!Brace yourselves, the Lord of the Rings references are coming
This season rocks. First George Lucas, now J. R. R. Tolkien. I just hope Mick doesn't die by the season finale. He's like this shows Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy. Probably the best character now.
But as a wise man said once "The Legends are idiots". Someone should have stood up for Mick. How many times has he saved their lives? Ray should have stood up for him. I'm certainly passed at how they have been treating Mick. He's lost his best friend, he's saved your asses and lived in alternate timelines and yet you still don't trust him. I get the feeling that Amaya is the only one who understood him. Anyways, I totally support Mick': decision. He's done everything for the team and yet they treat him like and idiot and a mere criminal.
The tension and desperation at the end was amazing. So I guess now we're going to Thawnpoint, Doompoint? Legionpoint? It's time for him to reverse the fuck-up Barry did.
Sara giving Mick the spear to hold wasn't her finest moment. Speaking of, I loved Thawne's first line "This can't be happening. They're not smart enough for this to be happening". And once again, Thawne was right. But Mick's playing everyone. He's going to be the best quadruple agent in all the timelines.
So, I guess Gandalf = Rip; Mick = Gimli; Amaya = Boromir; Frodo = Ray; Sam = Nate and Mick = Gimli trying to destroy the Spear, but he'll turn out to be Sam.
Once again, Legend's killing it. I'm so hooked and it's a shame that there're only two episodes left. I'm gonna miss my little happy dysfunctional family. And there you go Mick, save the world!
One Spear to rule them all! I guess we have the trilogy:1. The Fellowship of the Spear2. The Two Timelines 3. The Return of SnartThe trilogy in just one episode.
Holy shit, this episode was amazing! I'm seriously getting too hooked on this, more than I should. This is not healthy at all. Legends has become one of my favourites shows. It's amazing how nonsensical it is and how hooked I am.
I adore the LOTR and when Rip gave Aragorn's speech at the Black Gate I was literally tearing up. It was the highlight of the episode for me. I loved that bit, really loved it. This is one of my favourite parts of the movie and they managed to do it perfectly. Holy shit! My favourite reference out of all the references. Cause they were left and right! The scene when they said "I'm in" felt like "you have my sword, my bow, and my axe". And that Church was definitely a reminiscent of the Mines of Moria. I only missed one "You shall not pass", but I'm cool with it.
Those legend-puns are absolutely awesome. Did anyone else catch that Stein's "One does not simply"? I was laughing my ass off, my parents were confused.
Sara calling Ray, Nate and Rip the Backstreet Boys while they were casually posing made it for me. It was hilarious.
"Well, if that's not an entrance line I don't know what it is", man I freaking love Damian Darhk.
"on your feet you fool of a Tolkien" was amazing. I was laughing so hard I had to pause.
I'm so glad Captain Cold is finally back and evil. In a weird way I want him to stay evil. He's absolutely amazing and I missed him so much. He does have some of the best lines: "Sit, Mick. Fetch, Mick. Good boy, Mick. Woof" And now that he and Mick are best buddies again (or at least temporarily) it will be a pleasure to watch. And now, it's up to Mick Rory to save the world. Seriously, it's so hard not to be manipulated by Snart. No wonder he's the Mayor on Earth-2.
Fantastic tribute to Tolkien. I really enjoyed how they wove parts of the LOTR storyline into the plot and even used some of Aragorn's speech before the gates of mordor. Well written episode. It was a shame it didn't have the epic destruction of the spear in the vein of the destruction of the ring but I guess they have to keep the plot going.
Where does the Backstreet Boys fit into this; funny comment.. but....
So Snark from the past is now back and Mick (knowing this) runs to join forces again; has he not been listening to all the time aberration stuff?.....
"The Backstreet Boys"... Priceless! xD
We were so close to the Legends messing with the death of Christ and it would of been glorious. What we got was entertaining though.
Oh I did not expect this to happen (said with an ironic tone)
dude thugs are awesome lol
The name says it all and boy if you loved LOTR / the hobbit you'll love this one, all the little one liners that refer to the LOTR trilogy are just too good to only name a few.Really feel bad for Mick cause i love him the most out of all of them, although i love having Snart back, i'm sure they'll throw em all into prison so they can break out... oh wait :P
