Law enforcement officers are convinced they have caught the most dangerous serial killer in American history. Lucas provides details of crimes nationwide which led to over 200 murder cases nationwide. This episode details Lucas's alleged crimes from the perspective of those who investigated them. But later, independent investigations suggested that Lucas's claims were bogus and argued that he had been fed information for his confessions by the Texas Rangers. Yet another investigation, by the Texas Attorney General, reached the same conclusion. Lucas then recanted all his confessions, claiming that he had made his outrageous claims to expose law enforcement and prove that ‘they don't do their job.’
