Jin Young and Su Chil go on a drug bust and finds a greenhouse full of marijuana. Jong Sam is being chased by two men. He calls the police to report that he will abduct someone. As he is about to abduct her, Jin Young comes and tries to arrest him.
Jong Sam sees that Baek Kyung's shoes are dirty. He tries to confront him about his whereabouts and instead is detained and put into solitary confinement. While there, he sees the markings of a shoe on the wall leading to the ceiling. He devises a plan to escape while the prison is having their field day.
Jong Sam is in danger of not making it to the prison before roll call. Ddak Ji is nervous that Jong Sam hasn't returned. Jin Young suspects that the man who called himself Oh Il Seung was actually Kim Jong Sam. She calls Musan Prison to confirm that Kim Jong Sam is in his cell.
After getting arrested, Kang Chul Gi assumes the role of Jong Sam's mentor. Chul Gi teaches Jong Sam about the basics of becoming a detective. To help Chul Gi on a case, Jong Sam goes undercover as a server at a restaurant. While working, Jong Sam takes the exam for the police academy.
Jin Young begins to question Jong Sam about his identity, but Jong Sam is unable to answer her questions. He is told to live as Oh Il Seung until he is able to recover the missing money. He uses the clue he found to track down a person. Meanwhile, team five continues to look for Song Gil Choon.
Eun Bi returns home to find Gil Choon there. Jong Sam and the police arrive at her house to save her. Jong Sam climbs up the side of the building into Eun Bi's room and sees Jin Young. Jin Young is reminded of Jong Sam, whom she saw as a teenager. She asks him where he learned how to climb up the side of the building.
Jong Sam is on the brink of death when someone cuts the weight from his legs. He is surprised to see that the person who saved him was none other than Chul Gi. He confronts Chul Gi and asks him how he knew where he was. Chul Gi tells him that he had been investigating Kwang Ho for all these years.
Jin Young and the team continue their investigation to find Thien. They find a suspect and asks him where Thien is. Jong Sam and Chul Gi follow Oh Il Seung's tracks in order to find the missing 100 million dollars.
Jong Sam gets closer to finding Lee Kwang Ho's 100 million dollars. However, the closer he gets, the more danger he faces. Jin Young continues to investigate the Song Gil Choon case. Gil Choon provides Jin Young with a hint about Jong Sam's identity.
Jong Sam meets Yoon Su at the place where Yoon Su first met Il Seung. Together, they find the missing money. Yoon Su tells Jong Sam that if he gives Lee Kwang Ho the money, he'll just use it to kill other people. Meanwhile, Chul Gi is escorted to Kwang Ho.
After finding out that Ddak Ji is in trouble, Jong Sam heads to the Port of Incheon. He brings the 100 million dollars so that he can use it to save Ddak Ji. Jin Young figures out who Jong Sam is. She asks her team for help to bust him.
Lee Kwang Ho's 100 million dollars end up in the hands of Jin Young and her team. Su Chil expresses his interest to start a case to find the owner of the money, but Chief Jang tells him to focus on the Song Gil Choon Case. Meanwhile, Jong Sam goes to Lee Kwang Ho.
Yoon Su goes to the police station only to find out that the 100 million dollars is stolen. Jong Sam brings the stolen 100 million dollars to Lee Kwang Ho. However, Kwang Ho refuses to let him go free. Jin Young goes to Ddak Ji, and he tells her about Jong Sam.
Chul Gi tells Jong Sam to continue living as Oh Il Seung and work for the police force. He tells Jong Sam to use the resources obtained as an officer to get his revenge on Kwang Ho. Meanwhile, Jong Sam mourns the death of someone close to him.
Jong Sam joins the Hidden Crimes Unit. He and the team help solve the case regarding Jin Young's mom. Meanwhile, Prosecutor Kim Yoon Su is determined to reveal Jong Sam's identity. To do so, he begins his search for the real Oh Il Seung's body.
Yoon Su gives Jong Sam an ultimatum. He must choose between Oh Il Seung and Kim Jong Sam. Jin Young tells Jong Sam to stop living as Oh Il Seung and to reveal everything. On his way to meet Yoon Su, Su Ran intercepts him and tells him to come with her or Chul Gi will die.
Jong Sam gives Jin Young something he found on the day that her father died. Jin Young takes the clue and begins to focus on reinvestigating her father's case. Chul Gi is in danger of paying the price for betraying Lee Kwang Ho.
Kang is in danger of getting kidnapped by Baek Kyung. Chul Gi intercepts Kang and calls Su Chil. Jong Sam puts a tracker on Baek Kyung and explains the situation to the Hidden Crimes Team. Chul Gi decides to go after Baek Kyung to end everything.
After finding the same keychain that Jong Sam had found on the night of her father's death in Kang's backpack, she begins to think that Chul Gi is the prime suspect for her father's case. Jong Sam disagrees with her and thinks that she's trying to blame an innocent person. Jin Young looks for more evidence regarding the night of her father's death.
Jin Young and Jong Sam continue to investigate her father's case. They go to the detective in charge for the case. They find out that her mother hid the footage from her father's black box on the night of her father's death. Chul Gi tells Su Chil the truth about the night that he disappeared.
Jong Sam believes that it is his fault that Jin Young got stabbed. He blames himself and feels guilty. He decides that he must take action and continues looking into the case while preparing himself. Meanwhile, Pil Sung is annoyed that Jong Sam is getting closer to his past.
Jong Sam breaks into Pil Sung's office and gets caught. He confronts Pil Sung about his association with Lee Kwang Ho. Pil Sung threatens to expose Jong Sam's identity. Meanwhile, the Hidden Crimes Team figures out the missing evidence from the night that Jin Jung Gil passed away.
Jong Sam and Su Chil find out the truth behind Jin Jung Gil's death. They begin to struggle to reveal Pil Sung's misdeed. Meanwhile, Jin Young, who doesn't know anything, hears Chul Gi's confession. As a result, she is in shock.
Jin Young formally joins the investigation on her father's case, and Su Chil tells her not to let her emotions get the best of her. The news about the recording of the conversation between Jin Jung Gil and Lee Kwang Ho gets released. Lee Kwang Ho begins to worry that all the evidence from that night will surface.
Young Min goes to meet with some friends to blow off steam after his confrontation with Kwang Ho. He ends up taking drugs and causing trouble. Jin Young tells her mother that her father did not commit suicide, and that they found the murderer. Meanwhile, Jin Young begins to teach Jong Sam self-defense techniques.
The Hidden Crimes Team begins to look into Young Min's case. They gather all the information they know about that night to connect the dots. They figure out that it is a case related to drugs and calls in the drug dealer. Meanwhile, a surprising truth is revealed about Su Ran.
Pil Sung offers to give Jong Sam more information about the Odong Blowfish Restaurant case in exchange for getting rid of the evidence of Jin Young's father's murder. The Hidden Crime Team continues to investigate Young Min's drug case and get closer to finding evidence that Young Min committed murder. Meanwhile, Kwang Ho and Su Ran disagree on how to resolve the situation with Young Min.
Jin Young tries to go through with the deal with Pil Sung. Su Chil finds out about the deal. Jin Young admits that she got rid of evidence that supported that Jong Sam was innocent of the Odong Blowfish Restaurant case. The police begin to search the mountain where Young Jae and Myun Joong buried the body of the woman Young Min had murdered.
Jin Young is shocked that Pil Sung collapsed after drinking the water she gave him. Jong Sam sees this and comforts her. Su Ran goes to Jong Sam and tells him that she has important information to report. She also gets closer to crucial evidence which will allow her to attack Kwang Ho.
Jin Young goes to Eun Bi to apologize for turning a blind eye to Ddak Ji's innocence. Jin Young and Su Chil go through an internal investigation over what happened to Pil Sung. Jong Sam continues to look into Su Ran, Kwang Ho and Ms. Hong.
Su Chil finds out about Jong Sam's real identity. As a result, Jong Sam leaves the Hidden Crime Team, and Jin Young worries about Jong Sam. Yoon Su tells Su Chil that he can't arrest Jong Sam just yet. Meanwhile, Pil Sung tries to use Mr. Cha, who is the only person who has evidence of the Odong Blowfish Murder, as a means to benefit himself.
Jong Sam finds Mr. Cha's hidden evidence. However, Pil Sung intercepts it from him. Su Chil and Jin Young find Jong Sam tied to a tree, and the rescue him. Su Chil tells Jong Sam to come back to the police force and continue investigating the case with Jin Young.
Upon reading Mr. Cha's notebook, Jong Sam finds out the truth behind his mother's death. He finds out that Kwang Ho was the one who ordered Mr. Cha to kill him and his mother. As a result, Jong Sam and Jin Young begin to investigate the case. Meanwhile, Kwang Ho plans to eliminate all the people who betrayed him.
Jin Young and Jong Sam look into Ms. Hong. They find out that she's the woman who settled when Jong Sam's mother passed away. Su Ran and Yoon Su talk with Mr. Cha in hopes to find out more information about where the boy was buried. Meanwhile, Jong Sam finds out a surprising truth.
Jong Sam is shocked after finding out the Lee Kwang Ho was his birth father. He begins to distance himself from Jin Young. Jin Young is hurt because of Jong Sam's behavior. Meanwhile, Su Ran joins forces with Yoon Su to attack Kwang Ho.
After receiving the background information on Pil Sung from Chul Gi, Jong Sam decides to use the information to corner Pil Sung and get a testimony. Jong Sam hands in his resignation to the police force and tells Jin Young that he is Lee Kwang Ho's biological son. Meanwhile, Su Chil asks Chul Gi to spend the day with Kang. Despite being hesitant, he agrees.
Jong Sam is angry as Chul Gi is hospitalized after trying to save him. Lee Kwang Ho plans another scheme after failing to kill Jong Sam. Meanwhile, Su Ran, Yoon Su, and Jong Sam join forces to get Lee Kwang Ho.
The Hidden Crime Team and Prosecutor Kim request an arrest warrant for Lee Kwang Ho. Yoon Su prepares a press conference in order to corner Lee Kwang Ho. Meanwhile, Jin Young's mother comes to Jong Sam's house asking if he knew where Jin Young was.
Jong Sam abducts Lee Kwang Ho with the intent to kill him. He asks Kwang Ho why he killed his mother and why he tried to kill him. The Hidden Crime Team tries to arrest Lee Kwang Ho, but Yoon Su stops them. He tells them that it is the wrong approach. Meanwhile, Lee Kwang Ho orders the removal of Su Ran and Tae Jung.
Jong Sam tells Yoon Su to release all the information he had gathered regarding Lee Kwang Ho to the media. As a result, Lee Kwang Ho sets up a press conference. Yoon Su and the team plan to use the press conference as a means of revealing the truth and arresting Lee Kwang Ho.
