A single mother's dedication towards her children is the highest form of maternal duty, and Sharda is one such mother. Her daughters Meghna and Naina return to their home town Boondi, where their recent academic success has made them household names. But when Meghna announces her new high paying job in Mumbai, societal rules weigh down on her as her uncle Vishnu and aunt Asha start planning her marriage. With a prospective groom on the way, Meghna has to make a decision.

When Sharda rejects Kundan's marriage proposal for Meghna, it weighs heavily on Kundan's pride and his angry outburst hurts Asha feelings. With a teary Asha blaming Sharda for bringing shame to the family, she also adds a titbit about Sharda's turbulent past. But this does not deter Sharda, and she soon comes up with an ambitious plan for Meghna's marriage.

Sharda's plan to get Meghna married in the wealthy Chauhan family doesn't go well with her family. Undeterred, Sharda sets out to meet the family in Jaipur. Meanwhile, the prospective groom, Kunal Chauhan, returns home, attracting the attention of media. Amidst all the news covered about him, there is a speculation that might shatter Sharda's hope.

Sharda reaches the Chauhan house but the strict security forces her to wait. Meanwhile, the Chauhan house is in a celebratory buzz with Kunal being offered a big position in the family business. But something else is brewing back home as Naina gets curious about the constant calls on Meghna's phone from the mysterious caller name 'Mr Wrong No'.

Facing rejection outside the Chauhan house, Sharda decides to return home. But seems like fate has other plans for her, as she comes across Sujaan Singh Chauhan, Kunal's grandfather, in a temple. Meanwhile, back home, Naina tries to persuade Meghna to contact the caller with the name 'Mr Wrong No'.

Meghna is ecstatic when Naina picks up Mr Wrong No's call and asks him to come to Bundi to meet her. Elsewhere, Sujaan Singh Chauhan is overjoyed when Kunal surprisingly agrees to marry Meghna. Later, Meghna is distraught and faces a dilemma when she learns that the Chauhans have accepted the marriage proposal. Will she reveal the truth about 'Mr. Wrong No', to her mother?

Kalpana overhears Meghna and Naina's conversation about 'Mr Wrong No' and informs Sharda, who is shocked to learn about the same. Meanwhile, Kunal's dad is infuriated when he learns about the marriage proposal for Meghna and urges Kunal to call off the marriage. Later, Meghna breaks down when Naina forces her to inform 'Mr Wrong No' about the current developments.

Meghna is over the moon when she realises that the groom Sharda had selected for her is none other than 'Mr Wrong No'! She gladly accepts the proposal, while Kunal too informs his grandfather, Sujaan Singh Chauhan that he genuinely wants to marry Meghna. Later, Kunal sneaks into Meghna's room to surprise her and they share a passionate moment.

As the planning for Meghna and Kunal's engagement begins, Sharda is shocked seeing the price estimate for the hotel the Chauhan's have selected for the engagement. Later, as Sharda and Meghna select a ring for Kunal, Nand Kishore buys two exquisite diamond rings for both Meghna and Kunal as he feels that the bride's family can't keep up to his standards.

Asha is upset with the amount of money being spent on the Meghna's engagement ring and refuses to attend the function. Sharda promises Asha to bear all the expenses of her daughter's wedding on her own. In the Chauhan house, Karan's refusal to attend his brother's engagement is weighing heavily on his mother.

Karan continues to be arrogant and tells Kunal that he doesn't care about the engagement. But Sujaan Singh Chauhan pacifies the rising tension between the brothers. Meanwhile, Kunal offers to give Meghna a ride when she reveals to him that the deadline to sign the contract for her new job is on the same day. Later, Naina is tensed when Sandhya and Nirmala arrive at the hotel to meet Meghna, who is nowhere in the vicinity.

An air of unhappiness surrounds Meghna as her plan to adorn Sharda's old wedding attire is thwarted when Sandhya and Nirmala gift her an extravagant dress and ask her to wear it for the engagement ceremony. Earlier, while Varun and Meghna are out having coffee together, Naina calls them and informs them about Sandhya and Nirmala's arrival at the hotel. However, Meghna gets back in the nick of time and avoids any suspicion.

Earlier, Naina is surprised when the Air-conditioner starts working at the venue just when the Chauhans arrive. She is rather taken aback when she learns that it was Karan who fixed the generator before his family reached the venue.

Sharda's brother-in-law's arrival with his wife during Meghna and Kunal's 'haldi' ceremony, puts Sharda in a tough spot. She is criticised for inviting them. Moreover, Sharda worries about her in-laws' revealing the truth about her lending money from them. Earlier, 'haldi' accidentally spills on Karan and Naina while they are busy helping during the ceremony.
