Koichi Asakura, who works at an advertising agency, wins a competition over a campaign with a budget of 300 million, but is subsequently omitted from the team, leaving him with an unsatisfying feeling. At that time, his classmate Yuko Akane gave him a magazine and he saw Eren Yamagishi, whom he used to compete with in high school. At the same time, Eren is working as a painter in New York with the support of Sayuri Kato, but she is still trapped by a certain curse from her past and is struggling to create new works of art.
Koichi Asakura attends an internal meeting to discuss the "Gigakara Chips" commercial project. Koichi Asakura has changed drastically from his days of hard work and has become a feared figure among his clients. While everyone around him is worried, Shun Nagarekawa decides to entrust Koichi with a rebranding project for Sonomiya Seiyaku. Chiaki Sonomiya, daughter of the president of Sonomiya Seiyaku, was appointed head of the advertising department at a young age, and this rebranding was her first job as a manager. Eren Yamagishi leaves her New York atelier and heads for Yokohama, where she once met Koichi. Eren visits the Bashamichi Art Institute, which she attended as a student, and is told by the institute's president, Kaido, about Koichi's current activities, but when she sees his works, she feels uncomfortable.
Akari Kishi arrives at the audition to decide who will be Sonomiya Seiyaku's billboard. The sudden uninvited guest causes a stir among everyone, including Koichi Asakura and Shun Nagarekawa. Akari seems to be a mismatch for the new advertisement, which is based on the concept of empathy rather than admiration. The rebranding of Sonomiya Seiyaku, which Koichi had decided would be his last job, turned out to go in the exact opposite direction of what he had envisioned. Eren, who arrived to Yokohama, sees a poster on a wall of the city.
Akari Kishi and her friend Weifu Sakuma, one of the world's leading photographers, ignore the concept of "empathy" that Koichi Asakura and their client Sonomiya Seiyaku have set forth. In the meantime, a graffiti on a poster that Koichi had worked on, which had been put up in the city, was reported in the news and became a hot topic at Meguro Advertising. When his junior colleague Yurina Mitsuhashi tells him about this, Koichi is convinced that Eren is behind it and goes to see her. There, he finds Sayuri Kato, who has rushed from New York in search of Eren, and the three of them meet again in Yokohama.
