Euphoria

Season 2

I really don’t know how to feel about this season. It’s like everything and nothing at all happened at the same time.

A good season, but not as good as season 1. The first 5 episodes of this season were great and made me think that the season was going to be better than the first, but then things went downhill, and the last 2 episodes specifically weren't very good at all - they were all over the place. I think the highs of this season were better than those of season 1 - but the lows were also lower! Season 1 was way more consistent in terms of being a good show. This season was very up and down (especially towards the end).

Sad.

What is this season? There is barely a story left! All they do is have sex, cheat on each other, use drugs, drink a lot, fight and that's it. I think ive got a whiplash from the amount of shaking my head during this season... Smh!

Great start, went downhill after the first half.

I never thought Euphoria would reach a point where it would make me feel indifference. There's a lot of redeemable moments this season, for sure (and please, give Zendaya all the awards), but by the end the show displays only a few glimpses of its original charm and emotional potency, which is a shame. Euphoria has always been over-the-top, but this season barely feels grounded in reality at all. It's still undeniably entertaining, but I often struggled to feel the heart and intention that used to shine through these characters and their stories. Something's missing, and the result is underwhelming.

Extremely boring season. Like 10% of every episode is a musical number, 20% is the Cassie/Maddy/Nate love triangle I was literally never invested in, 15% is narration usually accompanying some quirky costumed flash into an alternate dimension, 10% is Nate acting like a psycho on his own, and what's left of the runtime is either Rue doing drugs, Jules crying, or a glimpse into the life of some character with no real storyline like Kat.

Season 2 was very different from season 1, but it's not all bad. Season 1 had much more creative directing, for example, the carnival episode, the use of many different colours of light, etc. etc. In Season 2 we saw less of this, but instead we got to see characters making major breakthroughs on an emotional and personal level. The pacing could have been a bit better, but the emotional payoff is pretty good. Season 2 is still a 8/10 imo.

I skipped almost all of rue, jules and elliot's scenes. the maddie/nate/cassie plot saved the season for me! fezco and ash were awesome too, but lexi is insufferable. 9/10 just for my queen cassie

[HBO Max] Basically a high-school series about objectified teenagers with intellectual references that has the ability to build interesting characters to leave them (it seems that everything Sam Levinson had to say about Jules he said in the special episode). S2 is chaotic and unbalanced, although it has potential in "Stand still like the hummingbird", the only one that doesn't need to sexualize its character.

Exept from two episodes which were really good this season wasn't good enough compare to first season. 6.5/10

I agree with last commenter, it's like nothing happened but everything happened. I think the emotional turmoil was super real this season, but the finale was the perfect episode to end things on.

Everything was superb, though they left far too much unanswered in this season and covered too much up. That was pretty frustrating. Though the acting, cinematography, and most of the story was amazing. I don’t really want to wait another two or three years for season 3. Was the wait worth it for S2? Yeah kinda, I’m sorta wishy washy after the holes became apparent to me :/

I can't remember how good the first season was, but the second is medium quality.
However I can't say it's boring, just too much "art" and little scenario.
Of course, maybe I'm not the best audience for this kind of show.

Most disappointing season to date :expressionless:

I liked it! I don't know if season 2 was better or worse than season 1 but I enjoyed it anyway! Love Euphoria!
