In August 2011, Rodolph Berruet, a 24-year-old young man, killed himself at the wheel on a small road in the Vexin region of France. His family is totally devastated, especially his father, Alain Berruet. The latter turns into an unscrupulous criminal, convinced that a man is responsible for his son's accident. This criminal case is going to make the judicial chronicle.

The Strasbourg strangler case began in 1986, when a 10-year-old girl was raped in her sleep. A few weeks later, it was the turn of a high school girl to be raped and killed. It took the police nearly thirty years to identify the culprit, Nicolas Charbonnier, using new methods of scientific investigation.

On 18 July 2011, firefighters discovered the body of Charlène, who had been strangled to death, in an apartment in La Rochelle. A crime that might never have made headlines had it not been for the memory of another homicide committed 20 years earlier. Almost to the day. On the other side of France. That day, a gendarme had found the body of Valerie in a wood in Thaon-les-Vosges. Like Charlene, she was strangled. Shortly after, the gendarmerie arrested Raphaël Maillant, who was sentenced to 17 years in prison for murder. But twenty years later, doubts reappear! Convicted of Valerie's murder, Raphaël Maillant has always denied the crime...

In 2011, in the hortillonnages of Amiens, in the Hauts-de-France region, two corpses were found a few months apart. In January, the body of 22-year-old Julien Guérin was seen floating in the network of canals that irrigate the city. In September, the body of Alexandre Michaud, aged 24, was found. The two victims did not know each other. The first drowned, stunned by alcohol and drugs. The second was shot twice. In the course of their investigations, the investigators made a crucial discovery: the two men had spent the last hours of their lives with the same individual .

On November 28, 2010, the lifeless body of Michèle Martinez was discovered by a passer-by in the parking lot of the Italians in Avignon, Vaucluse, hidden behind a transformer. According to the medical examiner's findings, the 66-year-old victim died instantly. The temple was punctured by a screwdriver. Her face was struck with a stone. DNA samples are being taken from the corpse. A suspect residing in Pernes-les-Fontaines is arrested. He is a sex offender, known to the police.

Like every morning, Christophe Lejard jumps in his 4x4 at dawn to go to his carpentry business. Like every morning, he follows the dirt road that runs through his farmhouse in Rognonas, near Avignon. But, this November 24th, 2010, surprise! The metal barrier, still open at the end of the driveway, is down. The company manager gets out of his car to clear the way. When a gunshot resounds in the garrigue. Christophe Lejard collapses. Shot in the head. An execution with millimetre accuracy. While everyone praises the entrepreneur, only his wife is out of tune.

An axe murderer in the automobile kingdom! The man has struck four times in Montbéliard, Sochaux, or Belfort; splitting the skulls of his victims as others chop wood. When Max, his only survivor, described him, he said that he had "seen the devil"! A devil who jumped on him without warning on March 3, 1999, and who, putting his finger on his mouth, ordered him to keep quiet, while he struck him with an axe. The affair, which initially appeared to be a brutal street fight, could have ended there. But the police soon sensed that this assault was not the only one. And in fact, this "missed" crime led to the solving of three other crimes
