RPGs in a nutshell: "Thou shalt get sidetracked by bullshit every goddamn time."
They worked very well, there is entertainment, tension, action etc. it is all there. The series flows like water. I hope I won't be upset because I finished it right away :joy:
Maximus would’ve known to never leave your power armor if he had had any experience with settlements:joy:
Yeah, well, the Wasteland's got it's own golden rule: Thou shalt get sidetracked by bullshit every goddamn time.
Welp, the writers certainly understand the core Bethesda RPG experience.
For anyone who's ever played the first Fallout game. I love the Easter Egg for the busted water chip. That was the premises of the vault dweller to leave the vault.
Overall loving the show.
Walton Goggins being casted in this series feels like home. It feels natural that he is part of this universe
Another improvement over the previous episode, but I still feel like a good editor could have cut a lot of content here to make a better story.
Great comedy show, extra silly and nice laughs. Very slow in terms of story and progressing.
Dont get the whole enthusiasm
I have a feeling I would need to play the game a lot more to appreciate the silliness more in a tv show. On the one hand I like that the show seems to be sticking to the games apart from maybing choosing to mix with the genders and races of some characters (I'm guessing) which I don't mind to some degree so long as it's only a superficial change. The show has much bigger issues in terms of it's inconsistent tone and script writing that is at time very lazy.
The period scenes had a lot of black characters in roles where they wouldn't have been but it's clearly an alternate dimension given that the nuclear apocalypse of the game/show never actually happened so what's to say that the world didn't have a very different racial history. For the most part the actors portray they characters well enough (where the writing allows) and the racial politics of the time period as we know it wouldn't have added to the story. That said, I think they could have set it all up a bit better given that the game started in the late 90's and these characters probably would have been straight white people (maybe not, but as I said, I don't think it matters).
No wonder the ghoul is angry....
Maximus is blinded by power...
Lucy as bait... Lol
The head is having a hell of a ride....
I must‘ve fallen asleep. Why did the Ghoul leave the head behind after all this effort to retrieve it back? Didn’t he even say something like "they digest very slow, we still have time"?! Which is implicating that he sorts something else out how to get to the head?! Nevermind, next scene Maximus pulling his guy from the creatures mouth. How did he accomplish that? Was it just the power from the suit that he could pull the creature's insides out?! Where was the Ghoul and the girl at that time? At one time the world seems very small - then again they be walking "right past each other" without meeting? Confusing.
I do believe it was maximus the one who hurt the person chosen to be the squire before him, and he’s so clueless about everything, no wonder he wasn’t chosen, he didn’t even know the suit needed a water thingy
I found this episode quite boring .
I can't remember single item that costs 5c in either F3 or F4. Between this one and shoprunner willing to risk their life for 1000 caps, I think show created it's own economy or Wasteland gone through redenomination. Or even timeline with lack of mentioning of China.
Show doesn't getting better, but my expectation starting to adjust to pure nostalgia level of soundtrack, low level jokes/gore and other stupid bs. I honestly don't get the high praise.
Haha. Nice line from The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

Repairing a power armor component only costs 5 caps? I feel so ripped off right now.
