This episode is an all-animated adventure! Ruff has been FIRED by the new Australian owner of the TV network, Harriet Hackensack, because she hates dogs. With this, Ruff begins a journey in a cooking oil-powered aquatic doghouse shaped like a chicken to get his job back! Along the way he enlists the help of his friends & family , including his brother Scruff, Grandma Ruffman & Uncle MacRuffmantosh, the dread ghost pirate Black Muzzle, his nephew Glen, as well as his Studio G helpers, Chet & Blossom.

Ruff decides he needs success for his show, so he decides to find the lost Helmet of Victory, an old Ruffman family heirloom that is supposed to grant success to its wearer. To his dismay, there is a new picket fence installed by his owner to keep Ruff in the yard. Talia & Bethany are tasked with learning all about fencing while Isaac & Liza are supposed to figure out how to pole vault over the fence.

Ruff's new "Ruff Meal" needs is a good jingle and 50 pounds less packaging to become a success. Bethany meets with Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops to master "Stars and Stripes Forever" for his new jingle. Sterling, Talia & Isaac work with a chef to create a lunch that is healthier, and more sustainable.

Tank (Ruff's cameradog) is not the most reliable employee in the world. In looking for a replacement, Blossom finds out him that pigs are actually smarter than dogs. Ruff then tasks Brian & Bethany with proving Blossom wrong. Liza & Sterling go to SeaWorld to determine if Shamu could replace Tank.

A new FETCH challenge is organized by Blossom: Two teams of FETCHers will compete in a 50-mile race and the team that emits the lowest amount of CO2 wins. Because they're handcuffed to each other for the entire episode, Blossom & Ruff cannot fully enjoy the race.

Ruff has two phobias: spiders and...ballet! Sterling and Bethany (who also shares his fear of spiders) are sent to meet an arachnologist in a spider lab. Brian is given the assignment to become a ballet dancer!

Ruff thinks he has been invited to play rock music in South Carolina. He then realizes that his Swedish environmentalist-rock-star-cousin Ruf Ruffman was actually the one invited to perform. Ruff sends Isaac & Talia to learn how to build a "green" doghouse to convince Ruf that he should play in the concert. Meanwhile, Liza & Sterling go to rock n' roll band camp.

Ruff tries out a new beauty cream which turns him into a turkey vulture! Distraught, he sends out all six FETCHers to learn all about turkey vultures. Afterwards, they go to an ad agency to figure out how to improve the image of the turkey vulture.

The convention for the Animal Reality Game Show Host and Aquatic Bird Performer Organization (ARGSHAABPO) is coming soon and Ruff wants to be prepared. The convention will be attended by penguins and Ruff struggles to relate to them, so he sends Isaac to the New England Aquarium to learn about penguins to get some pointers. Liza, Bethany & Brian learn the art of improvisation.

Ruff would like to see his new game "Ruffball" become a success, but it is only interesting for about 6 seconds. Liza & Talia and Liza meet with a physics teacher to learn how to make Ruffball more exciting. Sterling goes to a stadium to learn how to do a radio broadcast of a baseball game.

He then finds that Chet has shredded his final term paper for obedience school so Ruff tasks Isaac & Talia to determine which dog breed is the most intelligent. Brian & Sterling learn about air pressure when they play wheelchair basketball.

Glen has learned that the mysterious villain Gamma Ray Person is attempting to harness the electromagnetic spectrum for evil. Ruff is forced into a mask & tights to become television's newest superhero... Ruffman Man! At the show's end, "Reveal" uses WorldWide Telescope.

Ruff is convinced "Crustationery" is a great idea. Customers will write letters on crustaceans, which will then be delivered by race car across the Atlantic Ocean. To prepare for his new business venture, Ruff sends Talia to a shrimp boat to become a deckhand. Brian, Isaac & Bethany learn how to drive race cars.

Ruff is hearing a voice heard by no one else. Oddly, the voice is telling him to bake cookies to impress Charlene, the poodle next door. Ruff' sends Liza & Isaac to learn all about hearing with an audiologist. To cover his bases, he also sends Brian & Sterling to a cookie company.

LePurr, the sinister, disguise-wearing criminal, has caused a crime wave by hitting flower shops all around the city. In an attempt to stop her, Ruff has Brian patrol a local flower shop. To see if Brian is a good patrolman, he has Isaac in disguise to try to trick Brian. Sterling & Talia learn about optics & laser light in order to disable the security system in LePurr's hideout.

Ruff bought a sock at a yard sale for $16, after talking the price UP from a quarter and also a broken tennis racquet. Ruff realizes that he is a bad shopper and remembers he needs a tennis racquet for an upcoming match against his nemesis Spot Spotnick. Talia & Liza go to the headquarters of Wilson Sporting Goods to design a new tennis racquet for Ruff. Brian & Bethany give Ruff some shopping tips after going to the largest flea market in the world, Brimfield Fair.

Ruff is desperate to find the mythical Helmet of Victory that will reverse his fortunes against competing Cat grooming shows. Uncle MacRuffmantosh believes he has located the Helmet on a mountaintop. Ruff needs to go to the top of the mountain to retrieve the prize, but only has a tricycle. Needing something more, Ruff sends Talia, Bethany & Brian to meet a bicycle expert and physics professor. In an effort to get more "grooming" into his show, Liza learns about goat grooming.

Feeling that he is close to finding the Helmet of Victory, Uncle MacRuffmantosh charters a train that will take them to the helmet's hidden location. However, the train is full of riddles, so Ruff sends all 6 FETCHers to solve the train's riddles and unlock a mysterious briefcase.

Ruff is close to finding the Helmet of Victory. He has information that it is somewhere in Old Sturbridge Village, a town that time forgot. The FETCHers are sent to the village to undergo a series of elimination trials and the one who retrieves the Helmet becomes the Season IV FETCH Grand Champion! At the end of this season, Ruff finds out that his parents are still alive.
