The pacing in this season is something different, but still a satisfying season nonetheless.
I don't really understand why so many people hate this season. I mean the dialogue was kinda crappy in a lot of places and a lot of the characters didn't act like themselves, especially Daenerys, Sansa, and Tyrion, but I really enjoyed it. The story was pretty solid and the cinematography was almost as beautiful as season 6. All I can really say is that I'm kind of bummed that season 8 turned out so bad because this season promised an explosive and amazing end to the series, but I suppose it was not meant to be.
The season was more fairy-tale like just as my friend said, more high fantasy than typical GoT gritty world, though there are some illogicalities as well.
It appears that without the books as a reference, D.B. Weiss and David Benioff lost control of the plot, leaving behind all things that made Game of Thrones so good.
It was a disappointing season for me.
the most disappointing season of the show so far. hope they can fix it next season.
This season has been just a fan-service. Maybe you'll like it at first viewing but it's not rewarding at all. Beautiful visuals can't make up for bad writing.
Oh, how the great have fallen...
Game of Thrones pays homage to the fact that noone goes safe, not even the quality of the show which is slaughtered at the very start of the season.
This was when things started go downhill :(
