In this tiny episode we take a look at the changes made by the Neo Geo X firmware update. Did it fix everything that was wrong? Watch and find out!

This was originally done as the ending skit for our episode reviewing the Neo Geo X portable system. But here it is as a standalone video to "enjoy" on its own. This took about 3 hours from start to finished edit.

This was featured as the ending skit for the second Game Sack Halloween Special (2012). We shot this in a couple of hours one night in the summer of 2001 and now it's here to "enjoy" on it's own. It's not scary at all but it's slightly unsettling maybe.

Just a fun little video which doesn't take the Neo Geo as stone-cold seriously as some of its fans seem to. I made this in 2010.

This was part of our Halloween episode in 2013. Shot and edited in less than 36 hours (along with all of the other live-action parts of the episode). The Halloween episodes don't tend to do super well, so here's a stand-alone release for those of you who haven't seen it.

In the most recent episode "Games That Need a Physical Release" we removed several game reviews. One after the episode was released and 3 before it was released. That's because all of these games had physical releases that our research team didn't find. We have since fired all of our researchers and fed them to alligators. We fed a few to crocodiles just to cover all the bases. Anyway now for the first or possibly second time EVER you can watch these reviews online from the extreme comfort of your own current location. Unless you're in jail. You can still watch them, it just won't be comfortable. Enjoy anyway!

I am a professional. I only play games that offer a professional mode. Other games are for amateurs unless they specifically offer a professional mode... or at least a "Pro" mode. Also, eat me!

This is one of my favorite games of all time. I will go through on Beginner first just as a warm up. Then on to EXPERT! It's been a while since I've played so I will likely die and probably continue.

Episode 1 - Welcome to the reboot of Playing with Sacks! We're going to do our best to deliver a new episode of PWS every Wednesday, released at 12:00am Mountain Time. We have a slightly new editing format compared to the old Final Bosses Playing with Sacks and we feel it works much better. These will only get better so we hope that you enjoy! And don't forget to suggest games you'd like to see on Playing with Sacks!

Episode 2 - For our second episode we tae on one of dave's favorites on the GameBoy, the super-slow Castlevania Adventure. It may be primitive but it's fun and has great music. Can we put an end to Dracula once and for all? Watch to find out!

Episode 3 - This week we play Streets of Rage 2 cooperatively. One of the best sequels to one of the best games of its time and often regarded as the pinnacle of the series. Will we beat it?

Episode 4 - Super Adventure Island was an early release for the Super Nintendo from Hudson Soft and is one of our favorites in the series! So let's give it a good, honest effort today!

Episode 5 - We give Contra III for the Super Nintendo a go, two players simultaneously which can actually make it tougher if one (or both) players does something dumb. Like what? Well, watch and find out!

Episode 6 - We beat the first Castlevania Adventure on GameBoy waaaaaay back in episode 2 if you can remember that far back. Now we take on its FAR superior sequel and have a lot more fun doing it. We think you'll have more fun with this episode as well. Can we beat it?

Episode 7 - We play the two-player mode of Chatting Parodius, aka Jikkyō Oshaberi Parodius, aka Parodius ~Forever With Me~ on the Sega Saturn from Konami. This is a really fun shooter that doesn't get talked about (no pun intended) very much and was never released outside of Japan!

Episode 08 - Splatterhouse is super scary! BOO!! Aaaahh!!! Many stuffy parents didn't want their kids playing this one because then they'd worship Satan!!! We sacrifice our eternal souls to play this one for you! We play the more evil PC Engine version since the TurboGrafx version was ever-so-slightly changed.

Episode 9 - Jackie Chan is an amazing person who's been in some amazing movies and he's also the star of this amazing videogame. The NES version is awesome, but this one is that much better!

Episode 10 - We play through Joe's arcade PCB of The Astyanax, which was inspired by The Legendary Axe on the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16 and they shared the same designer. This is radically different from the NES game of the same name. Will we have enough quarters to beat this one?

Episode 11 - Boo! That's really the gist of what you do as Polterguy, try to scare people out of the house in this exclusive game for the Sega Genesis. This is a very unique game and we haven't seen much like it anywhere else. So we give it our best here.

Episode 12 - Hardly anyone ever talks about Alien Storm much any more. It's a shame to because it's a great beat-em-up that's even better with two players. Originally a Sega arcade game, it received a decently faithful port to the Genesis in 1991.

Episode 13 - Time for some Magician Lord, one of the few side-scrolling platformers on the console, sadly. Played on the Neo Geo AES with Universe BIOS.

Episode 14 - Revenge of Shinobi is perhaps the best early Genesis game, one of the best games on the console and one of the best ninja games ever. Here we play Joe's copy which is the original version with Batman and Godzilla and other characters that were changed in later revisions of the game.

Episode 15 - The Master System version of this game doesn't get much love, especially from Joe who's all about the Genesis version. But Dave really enjoys this one. Will he be able to convince Joe that it's better than he thinks?

Episode 16 - We take on the NES port of the decently-popular arcade game from Data East and work cooperatively towards a common goal... the elimination of all evil!

This is a throwback episode, originally released for the now-defunct website Final Bosses back in April of '16 so it's pretty rough in comparison with modern episodes of Playing with Sacks. Playing with Sacks originated on Final Bosses on August 31, 2015. This is the only one of the original 13-episode Playing With Sacks run that hasn't been uploaded to YouTube, so here we are! Played on a real arcade PCB.

Episode 17 - Rastan was always a favorite arcade for both of us. Joe bought the arcade PCB a couple of years ago. Watch us do our best, no continues are allowed on the last level!

Episode 18 - We check out the Japanese version of The Adventures of Bayou Billy called Mad City. Konami made some interesting changes, especially to the game's difficulty. But did they go to far when they brought it over to the US?

Episode 19 - Astal was a very early 2D platformer for the Saturn with some wonderful graphics. Does the game itself hold up? Watch and find out!

Episode 20 - We're joined by special guest VFX artist Yoshi Vu and he wants us all to play Overcooked together! This is the most modern game we've played yet on Playing with Sacks. Will be be able to overcome the chaos and get people their food?

Episode 21 - Joe, Dave, and Yoshi try out different versions of Paperboy on Sega platforms!

Episode 22 - We're joined by Yoshi one last time to play some competitive Pocket Fighter! The player who loses must hand off the controller to the next person. This was really fun to make and I hope you have fun watching us compete!

Episode 23 - We're playing Windjammers on Joe's Neo Geo MVS. Who will win the most matches in this flying disc masterpiece? Is this just a fancy version of Pong? Doesn't matter because it's an absolute blast with two players!

Episode 24 - This time around we play through a recent homebrew port that was released for the Turbo last year. It's a love letter to many different games on the platform!

Episode 25 - Although it's a sports-based game, this one is actually SUPER fun with multiple players. Watch the weird faces we make as we play that we don't even know we're making! Who will win the decathlon, Joe or Dave?

Episode 26 - It's the last episode of Playing with Sacks for now and what better way to sign off than with a Castlevania game?

Here's something new I'd like to try, taking a nod from Cinemassacre who does similar things to great success with AVGN seasons. I want to offer more of these types of videos in the future with console episodes and other themes episodes, while keeping them at or around the 3 hours or so. What would you like to see? Episode 27 - Surprise Playing with Sacks episode! We really wanted to play Xeno Crisis on the Genesis on Youtube as we both love the game so naturally an episode of Playing with Sacks makes sense. This one's also available on pretty much every modern platform as well with more voices 'n stuff (though we haven't played those versions).

In this episode we dare to compare the two official light guns for the SNES and Sega Genesis. Plus we babble a lot. Which plastic light gun is the best? We compare Street Fighter II for the various 16-bit systems of the day (but not Super SF2) plus we briefly give our thoughts on the new 3DS system which is in 3D. Crazy!
