Broadchurch is a masterpiece.
with that being said; is this a complete remake or its "based on" ? Broadchurch viewers would already know whats happening or going to happen, so is there a point to see this ? ...
This is EXACTLY the same as Broadchurch. Same characters, same plot, same camera angles and cinematography, same everything. Who the hell wants to see the same story over again?
I was thinking they were going to change something at least, but no, its Fox, just copy it and maybe it sticks. Ridiculous! This probably would make sense if there was no internet like we have today. Just watch Broadchurch.
I stopped watching at the 10 min mark. And I hope it crashes and burn. I really didn't want that for Tennant and Anna Gunn, but for this, I really do.
I actually loved this just as much as Broadchurch. The final episode really left me wanting more; they did a great job with the suspense. Overall an underestimated series that was just plagued by the similarities to its predecessor. Still beautifully done.
Broadchurch was probably the best show on tv in the last year, Chris Chibnall had created a town full of 'cluedo' characters, and was a brilliant whodunnit, and the way it focused on the family of the murdered boy was incredible
I didn't mind we were seeing same story again, but something was lacking in the performances of David Tenant's supporting characters this time round. Good effort, and I enjoyed it, but if you are debating over this and Broadchurch, definitely go for the original.
Avoid this like the plague.
This show hurts me to watch. I can't wait until it's over so I can watch Broadchurch.
Wow, I heard about this Long before it aired. David Tennant Wanted to be part of the US remake version of Broadchurch. I was going to binge Broadchurch and when I did very little research about, this went public. Theres nothing wrong with bringing BBC shows to the US. No one bitched when Shameless was done, and look how good it is! I like Gracepoint. Maybe before giving bad reviews do some research, don't just piss and moan. If you like it the first time don't ruin it for someone else.. David Tennant and Anna Gunn are great together, I can't wait to watch tonight, it's my only Thursday show!
Why are they remaking this again? The acting is terrible, Too bad David Tennant got mixed up in this.

obnoxiously redundant to the 2013 version season 1 of Broadchurch, even down to the casting of David Tennant in both. the different killer/timeline twist wasnt enough to justify the US remake, in my opinion. i know this happens a lot, but it doesnt make it feel any less lazy and pointless to just reprocess shows/movies and throw in a potential what/if twist end, instead of offering new original content.
