NEPAL, KATHMANDU: After checking in to the world's greatest five dollar hotel room, my new friend from the reception wanted to take me to the market. Given the state of the hotel room, I could only imagine the state of the local market. So this was something I had to see with my own eyes.
My new friend didn't speak a word of English but he is one of the most jovial characters I've met in a while. He was therefore mighty excited when it finally sunk in that I wasn't shopping for myself at this bargain Nepalese market but for him....
