Daniel Craig’s Asriel made you feel like he was a good guy, his daughter was trying to rescue. The Golden Compass ended making us think good things were to come.
When in the sequel Asriel was probably going to kill her best friend. James McAvoy’s Asriel we at least learn is a jerk in the first season.
If the second movie was made it would have been a bit more shocking that Lyra’s friend is killed by her dad Asriel.
With how the movie ended with Lyra giving us hope. Oh and a hero played by Sam Elliot probably would have shockingly died in the sequel too.
The only thing keeping me from watching this further is the writing it has the worst dialogues. They are so childish and uneven for every character why do the writers think everyone should keep repeating their previous actions and newer ones it is really boring. Almost everything is perfect expect writing which should be priority so I may watch however much I can bear I do not recommend this to anyone .
Whole series watched not recommended! Started off as a good idea. Then it went toSHIT!
