At the "Hostal Royal Manzanares" located in a popular neighborhood of Madrid, and run by Doña Asunción, Reme arrives, his niece newly arrived from the town and accompanied by her father. Reme is very excited because she believes that in Madrid her life will change, she may find a boyfriend or a good job, since her life in the town has not been very happy. Reme will meet the guests who live in the Hostel: a retired military man, a bachelor sisters, some students, a topless manager and a cabinetmaker who lives with his daughter and from whom Reme stays pity as soon as she meets him. Reme will also meet her cousin Elena, who works as a model and Filo, the cook and manager of the Hostel. Since her arrival both Reme and her father, somewhat vague and controversial, will organize different messes.
