What happens when two kooky writers get semi-fired from their comedy TV job? They take to the backwoods of the Hudson Valley to open a Bed and Brunch. After procuring a mansion from an eccentric recluse (Rachel Dratch), Paula and James get creeped out by the remaining whimsical decor.
Paula and James’ Bed and Brunch is barely open for business when their first set of guests (Natasha Lyonne and John Reynolds) arrive unannounced. It doesn’t take long for the befuddling hosts to figure out they’re ill equipped to meet these yuppie’s demands.
The Bed and Brunch is in dire need of a fresh coat of everything, so Paula and James take a trip to the local hardware store. Overwhelmed with options, they engage the crotchety cashier (Alex Karpovsky) in some deliciously awkward conversation.
The Embarrassed Lamb is under siege as critters run amok the unkempt Bed and Brunch. Animal-loving owners Paula and James hire Humane Jane (Lena Dunham), the exterminator that doesn’t believe in actually exterminating anything, to take care of business.
