Mia and that guy suddenly being all lovey dovey with each other makes no sense, because they never even interacted as people, prior the show's events he thought she was just a regular synth. And I can't help but feel like they made Niska hook up with that one chick as the result of men "ruining" her and turning her to homosexuality... Or maybe I'm just overthinking it. After all this show isn't nearly as smart as it tries to appear.

One thing I liked about this episode was the way that, in Niska's tests, they made the point that non-human consciousness is not going to be the same as human consciousness and that the kind of emotional triggers you'd use to elicit a response from a human are not necessarily going to work for any other kind of conscious entity.
