Castlevania: Rondo of Blood was a Japan exclusive CD game for the PC Engine Duo (TurboDuo in the US). PC Engine was the name for the Turbo Grafx 16 in Japan. It’s unfortunate it wasn’t released in the US, because it’s one of the best games in the Castlevania franchise. Castlevania: Rondo of Blood is the prequel to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Though Rondo of Blood retains the more classic, linear style of gameplay. Castlevania: Rondo of Blood was also ported to the Super Nintendo and retitled Castlevania: Dracula X. Though the SNES version had many alterations and is considered to be inferior to its Japanese counterpart.
