Follows the first love between childhood friends Hae-Rim (Chae Soo-bin) and Ki-Seok (Jang Dong-yoon).
Soo-Ji (Jo Bo-Ah) wants to marry the best modern boy in Kyungsung (old name for Seoul). To do so, Soo-Ji goes to a matchmaking company. Joo-Oh (Son Ho-Jun) is an employee at the matchmaking company. He tries to help her find her match.
On their wedding day, a bride leaves a text message to the groom and she goes on their honeymoon alone. The groom tries to find his bride and learns something about her that he never expected.
Min-Sun (Mun Ka-Young) and Gun-Hee (Yeo Hoi-Hyeon) first met at a waltz class and have dated for the past 8 years. Min-Sun is now an intern at a large company and Gun-Hee works at a mid-size company. Somehow, they become competitors for a job.
Madam Jung (Ra Mi-Ran) stole a bag from a gang boss which contained money. For the past 7 years, she has been in hiding. One day, Madam Jung meets young Eun-Mi (Shin Rin-Ah). She is a victim of domestic violence.
Set during the Japanese occupation of South Korea in the early 20th century. Duk-Soon is a naive girl living in the country. She likes Seok-Sam, but it is in vain. Following Seok-Sam, Duk-Soon travels to Kyungsung. There, she gets involved in the Korean independence movement.
The father (Lee Joon-Hyuk) is a labor activist and he doesn't care about his family. The mother (Shin Eun-Kyung) is having an affair. Their teenage daughter declares that she is going to live together with her boyfriend.
Young-Jae (Im Ji-Kyu) is an aspiring webtoon writer. He works part-time at a convenience store during the day. Young-Jae has been unable to sleep for 1 year.
Yoo-Jung (Im Se-Mi) is unemployed. She has been unable to sleep for 2 years. Young-Jae and Yoo-Jung live in the same neighborhood and they happen to meet. Due to their insomnia, they have similar routines and meet often. They become attracted to each other.
