Gino Panaro is DIY Network's King of Dirt. He's definitely not what you'd expect from one of America's premier landscape contractors. He's a loud, bull-in-a-china-shop, Brooklyn-born guy who happens to create incredible beauty. For his landscape designs, Gino doesn't use a computer or fake graphic technology. Instead, he relies on his imagination, his hands and the help of his brother Ralph, who works with him in a family landscape business to create some of the most beautiful, high-end landscapes and hardscapes you'll ever see. Together they star in DIY Network's new series, King of Dirt, full of big personalities and even bigger insider ideas on how to make over outdoor spaces.

Series Premiere

1x01 Replacing A Beloved Tree

Gino faces off with his latest clients, a married couple who do not want to get rid of their beloved plum tree.

Gino's latest project has him dealing with his toughest client ever, his wife, Gina. She wants Gino to finally finish the landscape around their backyard pool at their family's home. On top of not being able to decide which pavers he wants to use, Gino discovers a serious problem with his house that adds more time and stress to the job. Between his brother Ralph's complaining and his wife Gina's constant nagging, Gino soon realizes that this job was more challenging than he expected.

A newly renovated townhouse in Williamsburg, Brooklyn needs a beautiful backyard oasis to go with a brand new modern interior. With a small yard to work with, a surprise rainstorm, Gino's loss of his voice, and trouble with the water feature, the project nearly comes to a screeching halt.

A do-it-yourself homeowner, Sharon, completely remodeled the interior of her 100-year-old home in Staten Island. Now she needs Gino's help to renovate and soften her unlevel, weed-filled, rectangular-shaped nightmare of backyard. With only one day to complete the job, it's up to Gino, his brother Ralph, and his wife Gina, to make it perfect.

Ed & Jean have a charming home, but have done nothing to their unsightly, barren front yard. A previous landscaper drafted an expensive, impractical design incorporating plants that were inappropriate to the site conditions. With Gino's implementation of rocks, boulders, shade-tolerant and deer-resistant ornamental shrubs, Gino's Crew gives Ed & Jean's yard an attitude adjustment. Gino, Ralph, and Gina also demonstrate the appropriate way to choose and plant a memorial tree to honor the homeowners' fathers.

Greg's house was crushed by a fallen tree during a lightning storm. After completely renovating his entire house after the storm, he hires Gino and Ralph to completely revitalize his front yard with new planting beds, shrubs, stone walkways, and a lawn. Gino gets carried away with his big machines while reshaping the yard. He later explodes on Ralph when they disagree about a drainage pipe.

Mary hasn't used her backyard in over 10 years, so she hires Gino to build a new natural stone patio to compliment a new addition. Gino discovers large roots encroaching on his space. Ralph loses his cool when Gino needs several loads of materials to build the patio base. Gino finds himself stuck in his skid steer like never before. Gina goes shopping for teak patio furniture.

Gene and Anne have a huge backyard that looks like a dumping ground. They call in Gino to give them the direction they need to create an entertaining patio area and a new basketball court for their two boys. Even though he's working in a big space he encounters size issues with court and a set of steps. Gino has to find a way to make sure that his two huge builds fit just the way he wants them.

Lisa and Bob finished renovating their 1-story ranch home and more than doubled its size. Now they've hired Gino to finish off their dream home by landscaping their entire property at once. Gino and Ralph create natural stone design that starts in the front yard and wraps all the way to the back. They take an existing concrete patio and give it a whole new look. With some new sod, popping new shrubs and trees, and a massive water feature that Gina picks up, Gino's crew transforms an entire house's yard.

1x10 Pathways to Nowhere

Mike and Diane love their new house, but their backyard consists of oddly arranged concrete walkways and a retaining wall made from an old collection of recycled debris. Gino wants to get rid of the retaining wall and build a sensible backyard space for their young family. With the crew building 3 sets of steps, a huge tumbled paver patio, walkway, its only a matter of time until Gino and Ralph's patience boils over.

For five years, Quinn tried conquering a slope to build a paver walkway to the front door of his house, but he can't seem to get very far. His wife Danielle is done waiting so she called Gino to complete the job. Gino and Ralph take on the massive build, while Gina brings in a presidential swingset for their 5 kids.

Marybeth & Bruce have beautiful trees sitting in front of their Victorian home but they're in the wrong place. Gino wants to keep as many plants as he can, but that may not include the trees. With the homeowner standing in his way and Ralph losing his patience, Gino has his hands full.

Sharon and Ed have a huge backyard with a pool that is surrounded by overgrown trees. To clear the yard, Gino introduces his method of tree removal he calls "selective pruning." When the homeowner and Ralph try to correct Gino's planting placement they must deal with the consequences.

2x01 High-Rise Landscaping

Gino Panaro tackles a challenging outdoor space: a high-rise wrap-around terrace in midtown Manhattan. If his demanding clients, Noemi & Paul, do not receive the design they want, they may have to toss Gino over the ledge. In a fast paced city, working 11 stories high in a confined area, tensions mount between Gino and his brother Ralph as they try to make sure these city dwellers get their money's worth.

Gino Panaro's latest project is in an area of Staten Island where he used to live. However, his homecoming is anything but sweet. Bryan and Barbra's front yard is empty except for the crabgrass and their backyard is an overcrowded jungle gym that their kids have taken over. With a complete front and backyard renovation underway, packed with paver patio and steps, landscaping, and synthetic turf, Gino and his brother Ralph must stay on the same page. If they cannot agree on how to cut down a 25 foot pine tree, it may wreck the house along with project.

2x03 The Chain-Link Fence

Patty and Allen feel restrained by their small front yard. Also, their government issued chain link fence makes their property look like a penitentiary. Since Gino Panaro cannot remove the fence he must find a way to landscape around it. Although when he and his brother Ralph attempt to remove the concrete planting bed and mailbox, neither of them can believe what they are up against. With plants and trees coming in by the truckload, they try to operate their machines with precision to avoid dropping any balls.

2x04 Heights & Holes

When John and Nancy excavated their backyard, they went a little overboard. They cleared out so many trees that their town's zoning office requires that they plant 13 new trees. On top of that, their lawn was left in disarray. Nancy wants a patio and pergola and John wants a horseshoe pit. Gino Panaro and his brother Ralph team up to professionally re-seed and fertilize their backyard, plant stunning new trees, and erect a pergola that will stand the test of time. Although digging the right holes for a foundation, it's never as easy as it looks.

2x05 Battling over Bedlines

Ashley and Kathy made a woeful attempt at landscaping their Cape Cod style home years ago, but when their kids were born they completely shut the door on their front yard. There are unkept blobs of shrubs on one side and emptiness on the other. Gino Panaro has just one day to bring in the finest plant material and build a new paver walkway. While his brother Ralph struggles with back pain and with his brother's direction, Gino's patience for creating the perfect bed lines runs out.

2x06 Transplant or Trash

Whether Gino decides to keep their Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar or dispose of it, he wants to trash everything else. Lowell, a true DIYer with a home in Brooklyn, finished constructing a backyard deck that's built to last but now his view from the deck is a pile of garbage. His front yard shoebox isn't much better than their backyard trash pit. Gino Panaro makes every inch count so he tries to pack as much as he can into a small space. He quickly realizes the color of the planting bed wall is a huge problem. What's even worse, his brother Ralph left behind a crucial material they need for the new planting beds.

2x08 Anniversary Gift

To celebrate their wedding anniversary, Gerard and Beth call Gino Panaro to give them a present they've waited for since they moved into their home eight years ago: front yard landscaping. However, this project is far from a honeymoon for Gino and his brother Ralph. They get stuck trying to repair a busted chainsaw and Ralph finds himself caught in a very dangerous predicament. Tensions run high throughout the build and Gino reaches his boiling point when a branch snaps off a new tree.

2x09 Duck Hunting

Sonny & Bernadette let their sons play sports in their front yard for long enough. Nothing's left except patches of dirt and a few goofy lawn ornaments, so they call Gino Panaro to give them a brand new lawn and front yard landscaping. Their narrow concrete walkway and their lack of a healthy lawn disgusts Gino, so he has a few tricks up his sleeve to make sure they are never embarrassed again.

Angela and Ed's backyard is so repulsive even the raccoons are afraid to live back there. Their decrepit garage and pool take up the entire backyard and Gino Panaro is hungry for a little demolition therapy. Gino must raze it all and rebuild their yard from the ground up. Angela and Ed want a space for family gatherings, but before creating their new landscaping and hardscaping, Gino must fuel up from their exotic fig tree and from his favorite afternoon power snack.

Every job Gino Panaro does is personal, especially at his house. His wife Gina has been waiting their entire marriage for him to build her the perfect backyard. The previous fall Gino built her a curving paver patio around their pool. Now he is ready to focus on the landscaping, but since he is working at home he wants to take as much time as he needs to make everything just right. The more time it takes the more problems arise, particularly with his brother Ralph. Hopefully Gina will not walk out on him before he finishes.

Allison & Morgan have a big problem. They live in a town that restricts overnight street parking and their cars barely fit in their driveway. They need Gino Panaro to destroy their deteriorating retaining wall, open up their driveway, rebuild a new concrete wall with a natural stone veneer, and design a new front yard landscape.

2x13 Dolly Parton Meets Gino

3x01 The Japanese Maple

Gino's friends the Evolas have a gorgeous home - except for their front yard. Everything is overgrown. You can barely see a house behind all the shrubbery. Gino brings in an arborist to transplant the Evolas prized Japanese Maple, and replaces everything else with a gorgeous landscape.

3x02 The Root of the Problem

A routine foundation planting for longtime clients the Wassersteins turns into a big headache, as Gino and Ralph uncover a massive buried root system that threatens to derail the job. Gino brings in some backup with a backhoe to try and get the roots out without taking the whole front porch with them.

3x03 Gino for President

The Rosenbergs ask Gino for a simple landscape renovation. After taking care of their overmulched planting beds and weed problem, Gino nearly breaks his own truck, then deals with the sloppy paver walkway left behind by the Rosenbergs' previous landscaper.

3x04 Gino Takes a Dip

Gino and Co. are called to Staten Island, where Joe and Sue have just installed an above ground pool - below ground. Now it's up to Gino's Crew to make the pool look as good as a real in-ground pool, while surrounding it with all the trimmings of a tropical oasis - and without falling into the pool.

3x05 The Skid Won't Steer

Elliot and Lorraine were abandoned by their landscaper, and he left them with a big mess - a half build patio space, a muddy mess, and no plants. Enter Gino and his Crew, who will build them a gorgeous paver patio and solve their drainage issues. But when the crew's skid steer - Gino's most important piece of machinery - won't start, it threatens the entire project.

Joe and Antonella call in Gino to make over their back yard. The plan is to tear out the massive old deck, make over their burnt lawn, and provide a fresh start with new plants. But when the crew discovers a swamp - and a swamp creature - living under the deck, they find themselves with a whole new problem.

Paul and Kimberly have s shade problem. Three massive trees prevent any sun from shining down on their yard, and the yard itself isn't much to look at. They call in Gino and Crew to get rid of the trees, build a marble tile patio, and provide a gorgeous landscape and new shed so that their yard has both style and function.

3x08 Stepping it Up

Guy and Peg have made several attempts at landscaping their own backyard and building a patio and steps into their house, but all they have to show for it are a set of rickety wooden steps and a yard filled to the brim with potted plants. Gino is called in to give them a gorgeous paver patio complete with walkways to the gate, the garage and the outdoor shower. He'll compliment the new patio with foundation plants, a water feature, and he'll trim back the neighbor's tree to make sure his work can be seen in the light of day.

3x09 Retaining Memories

The D'Alessandros want to remake their front yard's landscape, but with one condition - Mr. D'Alessandro's recently deceased father helped them to build the current block wall, so they want to keep part of it to retain that memory. Enter Gino's Crew. With the help of Gina and Ralph, Gino will transform the front yard from a "homeowner attempt" at landscaping into a professional paradise, complete with an array of unique plants, a new set of drain pipes, and a lesson in overwatering your lawn.

Earl and Diana are soon-to-be newlyweds, and they want their front yard to look as good as they will on their wedding day, so they call in Gino's Crew. Gino will address their weedy lawn and lack of plants. But first, he's got a simple tip for giving distressed asphalt a cheap makeover.

3x11 Huge Paver Patio

Bryan and Christine have a gorgeous in ground pool in the middle of a massive backyard - but they have to walk across a dirty yard just to get to it. Gino will have to battle a broken skid steer and a mysterious little insect to give Bryan and Christine the biggest paver patio he's ever built, along with some gorgeous plants and a new chain link fence.

3x12 Driveway to Nowhere

Michelle and Marty have just finished renovating their home and it has taken a toll on their driveway and landscape - both of which are a mess. Gino brings in some additional assistance, and together with Ralph and Gina they remove all of the old weeds and tree stumps, replace them with a terraced garden, and finish the job off with a brand new asphalt driveway and parking area.

3x13 Soldier Course

Greg and Lisa's sad attempt at landscaping consists of a potted banana plant and no logical way to enter their home. The only thing they have worth keeping is a beautiful Japanese Maple, planted randomly in the middle of their yard. Gino incorporates the tree into his design, which also includes a sprinkler/drip system, a new lawn, and a paver walkway.

4x01 The Neverending Landscape

Gino finds himself in the middle of a project that has seen many delays. Homeowners Nunzio and Deb are anxious to get their yard finished so they can start using their new pool before the summer is over! There's a lot of work to do - coping around a new pool, a new patio, a new driveway, and then Gino will need Ralph and Gina's help to get the plants in before the homeowners miss any more of their summer!

4x02 Hit the Road Jack

Giorgio and Jennifer knew what they were getting themselves into when they bought their current home, but now, they are ready to make some changes. Their backyard has an aggressive slope transitioning into a highway (that's right, a highway) and without any hardscapes their forced to eat off of patio furniture that sits on overgrown grass. Gino doesn't like any of this. He wants to come in to groom their sloping hill so that even though he can't do much about the noise, at least he can improve the view. Also, with a brand stamped concrete patio, these young lovebirds will have a proper place to entertain friends and family. That is if Ralph can fight off the bugs and Gina doesn't have trouble with the fertilizer.

4x03 The Wasteland

Steve and Jessica have a wasteland in their backyard and with a 3-year-old daughter, an unsafe outdoor area won't do. Gino hopes to give these homeowners sturdy steps up to their house and between the two tiers of their generous backyard. He also wants to trim the overgrown trees and build a brand new patio where this family can enjoy their upcoming summer. Possible snags in the plan arise when the crew overheats, Ralph gets wrapped up in the past and Gina makes friends with a curious bee.

4x04 The Garden of Evil

Jerry and Maryann have a gorgeous home in Staten Island. The only problem is that their backyard has turned into a swamp, complete with its own lagoon. With old landscaping, broken down hardscaping and an out-of-order swimming pool that has been collecting debris for years, these homeowners need some serious help. Gino wants to rip out the pre-existing pool to install a brand new fiberglass fixture to start. He'll also install a generous paver patio for entertaining with a matching set of steps. Throughout the process, Ralph tries to keep cool in the warm weather, while Gina brings in some particularly "sharp" plants for this project.

4x05 Thanks Very Mulch

Charlie and Monica already had someone build a patio and landscape their backyard a few months ago. The only problem is the guy jumped ship halfway through the job. If there's one thing Gino hates to see, it's a generous yard that's been mismanaged by a lazy landscaper. With crab grass where a walkway should be, an array of toys randomly strewn all over the yard and no landscaping to speak of, this is a big job. Gino plans on bringing in a new, safe play area with state-of-the-art rubber mulch, a new paver walkway and a natural looking fire pit so these homeowners can forget about the past.

4x06 The Butterfly Garden

Dolly Rogers wants to make over the public area of this Children's Specialized Hospital in order to honor her son Joey, who recently passed away after being a patient there. Gino is more than happy to participate in this special project in order to give back to the community. Gino plans on ripping out the preexisting trees and grass in order to make room for a brand new family of plant life to attract butterflies. With Ralph battling the difficulties of a public workspace and Gina at odds with the sprinkler system, this hospital may get some laughs before this job is completed.

Jeff and Sara have been living happily in their home for about a year and half, despite their messy front yard. With a dangerous sloped walkway, huge sun-blocking trees and a house you can't even see due to overgrown shrubs, this is definitely a lot of work. Gino plans on taking out everything, including the stairs, the plant life and hopes to at least trim the trees in order to put in an all-natural stone stairway with fresh plant life. Trouble arises when a hornet's nest compromises the project, Ralph has trouble transporting the new stairs and Gina struggles with laying out the plants.

4x08 Monster Patio

Vince and Tracy already have a gorgeous backyard with a large pool, but they love to entertain, and they do not have the backyard for that. With a huge spacious area where these homeowners are just growing grass, Gino is hoping to come in and build an extremely generous paver patio as well as two walkways, one to the pool and one to the driveway. He'll also give Vince and Tracy a shed to store their tools in, and an all new stairway leading to their back door. In the meantime Ralph will focus on site maintenance and Gina will try to help put her colorful touch on the project with some handpicked plant life.

4x09 Back from the Dead

Celso and Teresa have a huge newly constructed home they've been in for only a few years with their kids. Only problem is the front yard isn't as nice as the house it's in front of. With a fried lawn that consists of rocks and dirt, a narrow builder walkway and no landscaping to speak of, this couple is looking to be brought back to life. Gino is always happy to put a smile on a homeowners face, but this is almost a personal vendetta for him. A front lawn this bad? Forget about it! Gino plans on bringing in his friend Ted to build a beautiful new stamped concrete walkway while laying down over 5,000 square feet of fresh sod and all new plant life which will hopefully serve as a welcoming sight for the Selgado's for years to come. He'll also introduce a state of the art sprinkler system that will ensure this lawn will live on for years to come. With Ralph helping with waste management and Gina taking care of the plants, this should be a project that will make the whole neighborhood jealous.

4x10 Stuck on You

Brian and Jen are happy in their new home, but the boring builder landscape in the front of their house has them feeling like they need a makeover. With a generic walkway, exposed foundation and no plants whatsoever, this yard needs a miracle worker. Gino wants to veneer over the pre-existing walkway to give it a more unique flow, and he also wants to use a new stucco material to help the foundation match the brick already above the front doorway. With some help from Gina and her plant prowess, Gino is hoping to give Brian and Jen something to be proud of.

4x11 Fireplace Surprise

Nish and Falgun are happy in their brand new home, but their lackluster backyard isn't something to invite the neighbors over. With a steep downward slope, no pathways, and uneven sod, this yard needs Gino's magic touch. Gino wants to create a large patio with a retaining wall for support, replace the irrigation system, and top it off with a special surprise for the homeowners. With some help from his crew, Gino is hoping to make Nish and Falgun a backyard that is the talk of the town.

4x12 Ralphie Drives

Wally and Jo had their beautiful home built three years ago with one tragic flaw - no landscaping. Gino plans to create a beautiful front lawn with low maintenance plants, accent lighting, and a special surprise for the homeowner that keeps grass from invading the new plant beds. With some help from his crew, Gino is hoping to turn Wally and Jo's place from looking like a model home to a one of a kind design.

4x13 When the Lights Come On
