The new Kings and Generals animated historical documentary series will cover the conquests of Alexander III the Great of Macedon. The series will focus on the campaigns of Alexander and all of his major battles, including Gaugamela, Tyre, Issus, Granicus, Halicarnassus, Gaza, Hydaspes and more. This first episode will describe the battles that happened immediately after the assassination of the Macedonian king Philip II. His son Alexander III succeeded him and was immediately forced to fight other Greeks, Thracians, Illyrians and others, leading to the quick Balkan campaign in 335 BC and the battles of Mount Haemus, Pelium and Thebes.
