This show is absolutely AMAZING!!! I also love how they did all the songs in the show! Had to download the soundtrack bc I’m obsessed with the songs!

I'm enjoying the series. I like Kerry Washington. However, Kerry's overacting and emoting in EVERY scene is just too much!

I loved the book but had forgotten the plot line by the time I watched this. Kerry Washington is SO good. Such a messy, complicated story about race and class, dreams lost and sacrifices made. So many gray areas about being a mother and what it means to be a “good” one.
