When ex WWE wrestler Chuck Palumbo and hot rod guru Rick Dore get a tip about a car hoard made entirely of classic Corvettes, they think they’ve died and gone to car heaven. But their dreams are dashed when they show up and find a backyard packed not with Corvettes, but Corvairs – a low-end Chevrolet model that was marketed to housewives, and faded into oblivion when they became the focus of Ralph Nader’s “Unsafe at Any Speed." Rick immediately wants to leave, but Chuck, anxious to get their business off the ground, convinces the Corvair hoarder, Kregg, to let go of all but one of his beloved lot - a convertible he bought for his girlfriend Beth. In return, Chuck promises to turn Kregg’s beat-up 1964 Corvair Greenbrier Van into a head turning one-off.
Rick is skeptical that Kregg’s hoard will generate enough cash to cover the cost of the build, but puts his trust in Chuck, and they forge ahead. But with a tiny budget and limited time, tensions quickly rise even as Chuck and Rick's disparate styles cause sparks to fly in the shop. By the time Chuck realizes that Kregg's cars are worthless, they're deep into the build - and he must grapple with Rick, their budget, and even the hoarder to find a way to finish the van... and save their partnership.
