Just finished season two and I am still not feeling it. And right now I am asking myself why I should continue ? Because of the show itself or the MCU tie-ins. Upon further inspection both arguments don´t seem to be compelling right now.
It is not an awful show but it isn´t exceptional either. I wish they would get rid of Hydra once and for all. Like Rayna said - it is so 1945. And all this back and forth twisting makes me wonder if this will be another show where they are writing themselves into a dead end street and then do a ridiculous twist out of that. Production is good thought.
And as far as the MCU tie ins are concerned, how, if anything, does this fit together? Because it seems the show is doing its thing for 98 % of the time and everytime a new movie is about to premiere they are writing in some lines to remind people that, yes, we are in the same universe. You really don´t lose out if you only watch the movies. And if you´d ask me it would be a better fit within the X-men anyway.
I´ll give this season another six while in reality I think of it more of a higher five.
Why you should give season 2 a fair chance in my honest opinion :
• Fitz of course ♡, would I even be watching this show if not for him? Also his adorkable Scottish accent may deserve a spot of its own on this list!
• Skye/Daisy's father, from hilariously insane to father of the year I ended up loving him. He had the best arc this season and fantastic acting gave life to a memorable character!
Nossa, essa serie evoluiu demais, de verdade!
Usually most agents/detectives shows follow the same format for seasons and seasons, so it was refreshing how things keep being shaken up in this show, tho I have to admit that I do missed the team’s dynamic and cases from s1, and I guess we’re never gotta get that back, but it’s a new adventure every episode so that’s also cool.

Season 2 was in its whole better than season 1, which did end on a strong note after a 14/15 some dreadful episodes. Season 2 kept that momentum going and there were times this show wasn't third on my list of "superhero shows to watch this week". But near the end it kind of lost its momentum, without becoming bad again. I just couldn't care as much as I was supposed to. The last few episodes and the finale were solid, but not more than that. But I'm still very much intrigued with the plans they have laid down for season 3. i'm suspecting it to tie in with Civil War.
