Credit Kevin Smith for figuring out that when Adam says he's the "defender of the secrets of Castle Grayskull" in the opening credits of the original cartoon, the writers back then never really ever mentioned or dealt with what those secrets actually WERE in the episodes themselves.
Whether you like or dislike what happens in this episode of "Masters of the Universe: Revelation" (and through the series) it seems that an earnest effort was made to actually move the characters along (on both the good side and bad side) and give them some depth instead of just starting over with a reboot/reimagining like they've tried once or twice before. That alone I applaud.
congratulations Hollywood on killing another franchise and alienating all those fans who grew up loving He-Man. in just the first episode, you kill off He-Man and make Teela unlikable by having her more upset that she wasn't told Adam's secret than she was about Adam being dead
Wow - that was GREAT. It still feels like the '80s show but it's telling a story for an audience who are now adults. It's so colourful! There's some bold storytelling here with characters treated like real people and I loved the ending. I'm very intrigued as to where it goes from here. Bravo.
hopefully she-ra is here
that in she-man's reboot I didn't have he-man and because of that I hate the series
I was hyped to watch this show. Then they went and killed He-Man off in the first episode. I don’t even know anything about Teela or anything so I don’t have beef with her (besides the fact that she was literally way more upset about being lied to about Adam being He-Man instead of the fact that he died). But He-Man getting killed off curb stomps any interest I had in watching this show…
Okay, I watched that scene three times. That's definitely his asscheecks.
Skeletor / Mark Hamill is fantastic, as expected.
It got dark.
They also seemingly pulled a Blackstar.
The king is an asshole. And most characters are morons (but this is again, true to the old show). The designs are true to the old show and toys as well.

Great first episode. It has nostalgia and action as well as a great start to a new story. Yes they “kill off” two major characters but you know.... not really  The animation is fantastic and writing has started strong. Please dont change anything and turn this into a female lead, woke garbage, agenda driven teen drama...
