Last season Liverpool were crowned champions of Europe but narrowly missed out on a first league title since 1990. They ended second to City despite an incredible haul of 97 points – the third highest in top-flight history. The only game the Merseysiders lost came against Pep Guardiola’s side, so victory at Anfield would be a huge step towards a first Premier League title for them. Elsewhere, Wolves and Aston Villa lock horns at Molineux, while Manchester United host Brighton at Old Trafford.
