Mark Chapman reviews the day's Premier League action, including Sheffield United v Leeds United at Bramall Lane and Manchester City v Leicester City at Etihad Stadium. Leeds are making a long-awaited return to top-flight football and will be looking to emulate their local rivals, who finished in ninth place last term. The Citizens prevailed 3-1 when they met Leicester here last season, but their opponents pushed them for second place for much of the campaign before fading to fifth after the restart. Mark Chapman presents the highlights from today’s Premier League games, which included Leeds facing Arsenal at Elland Road and Sheffield United hosting West Ham. Leeds and Arsenal have traditionally been big rivals, but this will be their first Premier League meeting since the 2003-04 season. The Yorkshire side will be hoping to fare better than they did against the Gunners in that campaign, when they lost 4-1 at home and 5-0 at Highbury. Oli McBurnie’s goal was enough to give Sheffield United victory the last time they faced West Ham in January, although the Hammers did have an injury-time equaliser controversially ruled out by VAR.
