I kinda hated the whole intro sequence. It gave me such strong Hallmark movie vibes. Total cringefest. Why the heck did they pick that music? It was awful.
But, to be completely honest, there was something in how this was filmed and edited that made it feel really dated overall, and like something that would have been aired on Disney channel ten years ago. It was very strange and unlike any k-drama I've ever watched before.
Another weird thing was that they used an instrumental from the OST of My Sassy Girl (I remember it vividly because I always thought the opening notes were better suited to The Mummy than a Joseon drama).
All in all, a first episode filled with questionable choices, but I'm such a sucker for idol dramas that I'll keep watching anyway.
