I'm a bit disappointed that Alder's death wasn't a bigger blaze of glory. I feel like they had to cram a lot into the finale and its a shame it wasn't a two parter or a feature length episode.
Love the idea of them having to work with Nicte at the end and just love this cast all round tbh. Need more of this show in my life.

An exciting/epic season finale!

The scene where Khalida used her powers was unexpectedly good. Her character is really funny. This sweet, innocent, young girl that looks small but is incredibly wise (well, actually I'm not that sure about that part yet but it somehow feels that way) and powerful. It's nice that she decided to join their fight.

Penelope dying sucked, especially for Tally of course. And, as if it isn't enough that the team is already emotionally hurt / grieving, they're also refugees now...

Blanton Silvertally has just become such a despicable character. I hope the truth will eventually get out. For the meantime it should at least be nice that they're now an independent team and joined forces with Scylla and Nicte.

It was quite obvious that the VP is a "bad guy". He hated his daughter being a witch from the beginning. More than you would expect from a parent having his child conscripted, almost as if he knew - not feared or suspected, that it would be her death.

The shows has already been renewed, so I won't criticise the cliffhanger as much as if it hadn't.

Otherwise this season finale wasn't as good as the season 1 finale, but still very strong (and it weirdly makes me want to rewatch Salem :) )

another word I've never used in a sentence:

Khalida smote that dude!

That was an easy part to watch -- others heartbreaking.

Sooo since no one else said it yet, I'll be first - " I am Alder (Groot)!" No? OK fine w/e, lol.

To the point - Motherland: Fort Salem was recommended to me by someone who said it, "probably wouldn't be my thing" and at the start it seemed as though they were right but then the show grew on me and I binged both seasons in just a few days.

It's the characters and their bonds that grab you and keep you, though the story is secondary and disjointed at times. Costume and hair departments went all in because they've been serving up some deliciousness, wow! CG clearly works hard too, praise them.

Looking forward to new beginnings.

Oh boy, I thought Nicte was done being crazy like a bat. And then she starts to move sort of like a snake again, shoulders pulled all up, her starring so crazy and Petra tasks her with protecting the girls. That is probably her most reckless decision yet

I am still unclear about the mycelium. sure, Alder was grieving. How that would create some sort of supermushroom like thing doesn't really compute for me. And what exactly it is about Raelle, that she is compatible with it. That she was chosen or whatever.

But I totally can see how the mycelium reconstitutes the General. It healed Raelle, so death isn't that much of an obstacle, since Alder was still alive. How she managed that (still being alive) is another question.

I just wished the seasons lasted longer and has more episodes! That's my only complaint. My most favorite show besides the walking dead. :hearts:

Mother taking care of Sarah was a nice touch...and, some touching points during this chapter of the story!

Looking forward to more.
