Namune is a character-driven comedy based on the characters of Purushottam Laxman Deshpande. Based in Mumbai, Niranjan Agnihotri is an insurance agent trying to fulfill the wishes of his family. One fine day, Niranjan comes across Chandu, a multitasker. Chandu starts helping Niranjan at every step. While Niranjan is finding it difficult to meet deadlines, Chandu lends a helping hand to Niranjan. But, why is Chandu helping Niranjan?
Chandu portrays himself as the kind of a guy who helps everyone without any ulterior motives but Bhairavi and Neeru are not sure of his intention so they tried to find it out themselves when they are invited to Chandu's father's birthday party.
The famous Jogi Don escapes from police custody and ends up at the Agnihotri house. Niranjan and his family freak out when he comes in with a gun but when Don Jogi comes across a photo of Niranjan from his school days, he realizes that he and Niranjan use to be best friends in school.
Don Jogi explains to Niranjan how he entered the world of criminals and became a gangster. Niranjan and Jogi also remember their school days. Niranjan's daughter clicks a selfie with Jogi and uploads it on social media which becomes viral and police track his location through it.
Niranjan is excited about his niece's marriage and gets there with his entire family as he wants the responsibility of the entire marriage but enters the new namuna Murari who takes over all the responsibilities and saves the day. Niranjan gets jealous of Murari as everyone praises his quick thinking and wit. How will Niru cope-up with this?
The go-to guy for everyone with their problems during the marriage preparations, Murari keeps on solving them. But when the biggest problem during the entire charade arrives at the door, even Murari is unable to solve it. Will Niranjan be able to save the day?

Shashi Sarang, Niranjan's close friend who is also a poet, enters the scene. Shashi likes to write and sing poetry about women and wine which doesn't go down well with Bhairavi and Niranjan's mother as the kids start catching the words too. But there is something more about Shashi than meets the eye.
Niranjan’s friend Sashi is here for a visit, but Dadi has some doubts about who this guy is. Niranjan believes that doubts turn to dust, but this not the case this time. The police also get involved.
Niranjan talks to his wife about how charming he was during his college days and ho2 that charm would work in his favour at his job. Later Niranjan’s old friend Prem comes for a visit. Prem has all the skills required to make anyone fall for him.
Bhairavi thinks that Prem is a bad company for Niranjan and a pocket dial makes her furious with Niranjan. Prem’s mission to get a wife gets accompanied with Niranjan’s mission of selling his policies makes a combo, and finally Prem’s long lost love Renu gets into the scene.
Bharavi meets her professor Deviprasad who use to take her classes in school and brings him and his wife home with her. Deviprasad left teaching years ago but still holds the teaching spirit and the discipline in his heart. Due to some reason, Deviprasad has to stay in Bhairavi's house for a week but will Niranjan and his family be able to handle his strict discipline for that long?
Niranjan gets a memo from his boss because of the mistake that Prof. Deviprasad made the other day so Deviprasad decides to make things right for Niranjan and goes to his boss's office. Everything seems well for everyone but later Niranjan gets to know Deviprasad's secret that he has been holding in.

Niranjan and family get highly pessimistic about this new guy who’s helping them out for the elections. Now this guy has something to prove, and if all goes well then things will start to take a different toll.
Niranjan encounter a thug while coming back from his office at night and when he goes to the secretary of the society to talk about it, he witnesses the secretary hiring the same thug as the gardener. Later Niranjan finds out about the real identity of the thug.
Niranjan finds out the gardeners real identity and decides to confront him about it. The Gardener denies everything that Niranjan says so then Niranjan forms a plan to trigger his real identity so that he comes out clean to everyone.
