In Sunderland, PCs Louise and Dan become involved in a heartbreaking case. An elderly woman has been assaulted by her son after he demanded money for drugs. The man had been released from prison days earlier and has a restraining order stopping him from going anywhere near his mother's house. When he ignores the court order, Dan and Louise take action. The Sunderland team also raid a property they believe to be connected to drug use. When no-one is home, the team must force their way in, but their entry doesn't quite go to plan. After making a discovery in the kitchen, the team is paid a visit by the suspect's mum, and she's not happy. PCSOs Jill and Craig are called to a park opposite a mosque, where someone has written racist graffiti in the grass with a lawnmower. The pair quickly get to work investigating the hate crime and spread the message that this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated.
