Perfect Strangers is a perfect (pardon the pun) example of what sitcoms used to be like: a lot of situation comedy, a lot of physical comedy, and a lot of word comedy. Yes, it gets repetitive, yes, Larry never learns, yes it will be boring at times, but it's a pillar of where sitcoms came from and some episodes are downright hilarious even while watched today. Balki's character is beyond awesome, and this is definitely worth a watch, if only for the big walk down memory lane into a world where innocence, niceness and all around jolliness were still celebrated, if not aspired to.
