Recreate not what it was, but what could have been, the complexity of society and the difficulties of love.
The ending to the season made my heart happy. Overall it was well executed and it added depth to many of the characters from Bridgerton. If anyone watched Bridgerton and enjoyed it, then I would say this show is a must-watch.
People complained that the queen in Bridgerton was black, but it is just a fiction.
But a black woman giving birth to white children makes it science fiction lol xD
King George looks like a long-lost, more handsome Franco brother
This series was beautifully crafted to stand on its own, as well as support Bridgerton. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll have a hard time disliking Queen Charlotte in Bridgerton after this.
This was a delightful surprise. Genuinely didn't expect to enjoy the story and characters as much as I did. Because it's a rare occurrence when I find the majority of them to be very likable and entertaining. And I would've enjoyed the series even more if it wasn't unnecessarily punctuated with grotesque sex scenes. I am no prude, but it was too much at times.
I've never watched Bridgerton, nor do I intend to (just not my kind of thing), but I took a chance on this short series, and it did not disappoint.
7/10 - for the emotional damage. That final episode packs a heavier punch than Princess Augusta's pear brandy.
I really like this one. characters were in dept and I felt this one more pleasing to watch than the Bridgertons. the story was compelling.
Enjoyed this way more than I thought I would (and even more than Bridgerton itself) but damn…. What a tragic love story
That last scene....the tears were flowinggggg. "You did not go over the wall". Just wow. Lowkey liked this better than Bridgerton. Still excited for season 3 though!
Incredible. I loved it, every episode.
way way way more better than the original series, the original are just horrible
Almost a 10 out of 10 but Episode 4 was a drag and mostly unnecessary and the ending of the show does not feel like everything's been talked about. But man oh man, have I cried a lot, laughed a lot, felt all kinds of emotions. Amazing show!
A feel good series really. I have never watched Bridgerton, so I was a bit scared I'd feel completely lost. But the characters are all well introduced and we understand who is who very quickly.
All the characters are well developed, and are given an opportunity to grow. The end of the season is particularly sweet.
Definitely recommend !
SPOILER
I only regret that Charlotte sort of became a cold-hearted mother. Although we understand she does it to protect her children aswell to make sure they'll keep their positions, she treats them like subjects more than her own flesh. It became especially clear when she finally asks Brimsley a personal question for the first time. It seems to me that she sorts of became what she hated about her own family (prioritizing power over personal happiness).
What a load of utter tosh - rubbish in every respect
better than the other 2 seasons imo i liked it
The romance, pageantry, and comedy pales in comparison to Bridgerton, but this is still an enjoyable and worthwhile watch for fans.
I enjoyed the regency fantasy of the first season. Love her character is this show but this was too much drama after having parents die with Alzheimer's.

I liked this MUCH more than the first two Bridgerton series!
