Today we will remember one of the most undoubtedly cult franchises - "Highlander". The relay, which began with Christopher Lambert and picked up by Adrian Paul, lasted almost twenty-one years. The original idea, thousands of fans, swords and many, many chopped heads - just crumbs of what has left us this wonderful universe. Let's look at all the movies - from the very first to the very first... Ahem-ahem..., at the same time ripping out of the depths of memory the words "feet, colossus and clay"...

Rebirth, salvation, glorification - that's what we expected from a man who once starred in the very first and best "Predator". The promises were huge, but the movie was supposed to be based on the same idiotic script that went online years ago. But maybe it wasn't? And if it is, maybe it was rewritten beyond recognition, improved, corrected! I mean, the same hero, Shane Black, put his hand to it! Well...

"Arrival" was undoubtedly an exceptional event in the fantasy genre. An original approach to the first encounter with an alien civilization. Competent directing, thanks to which Denis Vilniov became extreamly popular. The new "Blade Runner" and the expected new "Dune", too, should thank him for his "Arrival", among other things. The work of the mega-premium guru of science fiction genre as the basis for the script. Cleverness at every turn. It would seem a flawless picture. The benchmark for all time. Well...

Books and movies are rarely a bad combination. It is always interesting to watch how this or that strong scene is displayed in the movie adaptation. The more remarkable is the novel "Mortal Engines", written in the genre, which we have not touched before - steampunk. Especially since the guru of the epic fantasy movie - Peter Jackson - put his hand to his cinematic incarnation. What came out of this eternal struggle of forms, visions and ideas. And now we will find out...

Aquaman was never the title hero of the DC universe. Well, well. Despite the toughness of the character, he was constantly eeled over both in parodies and in life. But the personal factor can change a lot. In addition, the movie is not a comic book and not even a cartoon. It's more expensive, more risky, more complicated. What previous movies only confirm. What came out of this adaptation? And now we will find out...

What's to rant about? The final is here. A titanic work awaited the authors. They had to link all the numerous story lines into one seamless whole. They would complete them with logical approach, taking into account all the complex types of the characters. At the same time, they promised an epic that had never been seen before. A series of shocking events. And a huge burst of audience emotion. Well... Something they didn't lie about...

There is no limit to the human mind and... foolishness. It's not the first time we've encountered a story about an unknown cosmic thing, meeting a crowd of people in an extreme situation. And as a rule, these people are all super experts, but all the same. "Life" is also about this. And if you even bother to look at such stories, you want to find the perfect one. About mind or stupidity...

In recent years, there has probably never been such a highly praised work as the series "Chernobyl." And praised on both sides of the borders and barricades. Both by those who suffered and cleaned up, and by those who were barely touched by it, forcing them to watch... and in fact, hear about it from the sidelines. So, "Chernobyl". FICTIONARY depiction of the REAL catastrophe. The worst man-made disaster of the XX century. A tragedy that is full of suffering, horror, heroism, hard work and deadly danger. Well, I mean, all the things that in theory require respect, don't they?

Robin Hood is one of the most popular heroes of cinema and literature. A myth, a legend, or perhaps a reality. The object of people's fervent love. The number of works of fiction in which he appeared is simply difficult to count. Their quality varies: from good to bad. But probably never before have we seen THAT...

"Ready Player One" was positioned as a film made both specifically for gamers and created to show what games are to your grandmothers and, say, Milonov (Russian deputy who speaks out against video games). Well, to calm them down in their denunciation of "demonic products". The movie was based on a book that is considered almost "the geek bible". It was directed by Steven Spielberg and the man who wrote the book. The idea was to come out not just a candy bar, but a real masterpiece which, like the "Back to the Future" movie so often used in the process, would remain in our hearts for ages. Is it out? Let's find out!...
