Unfulfilled theater creatives Iris and Tomer get into a couples fight after an unsuccessful pitch meeting for a play they’re trying to get made. Self-centered diva actress Maya obsesses over landing her dream role in a new Chekhov play.
Tomer tries to convince Iris to do the play despite their recent breakup. Maya and Ofer are cast in the play but refuse to participate, each for their own reasons.
Rehearsals are off to a poor start: Iris and Maya have irreconcilable differences, Ofer texts Iris a surprising picture, and the day ends with an explosion.
Seeking an outlet for her heartache and bubbling frustration, Iris is a no-show at rehearsals. Meanwhile, Maya and Ofer get too personal, and Tomer causes a scene at the theater when his couch is taken by a famed director of whom he is a big fan.
Tomer asks the Austrian director’s assistant on a date but has no house in which to host her. Meanwhile, having decided to give Tinder a try, a clueless Iris turns to Ofer for guidance. Maya decides to spice up her life.
The Minister of Culture comes to visit the theater, but the show cannot start without Maya who is nowhere to be found, so an irritable Vera must keep her occupied. Meanwhile, Iris and Ofer get flirty, and Tomer finds out what Kasia really thinks of his play.
Vera comes in to watch a rehearsal of the play and brings important guests with her without having let Tomer know. Iris and Ofer are engaged in a exhilarating romance. Everyone ends up meeting on the dancefloor at Maya’s wedding.
It’s the beginning of Technical Week, and with the premiere of the play fast approaching, tensions between Tomer and Iris reach new heights. Ofer discovers he’s actually dead, and Maya decides to tempt fate.
Iris and Tomer seek mediation after he threatens to issue an injunction to prevent the play from being shown. Meanwhile, rehearsals continue with the replacement director, with Ofer hitting rock bottom and Maya just wanting to become a better actress.
It’s the day of the premiere and the play is set to run for the first time. Will Tomer show up? Will Ofer be able to handle the pressure? And will Maya finally carry a lead role? One way or another, the curtain’s about to go up.
