It's OK. Nothing special though. The format doesn't work for me. I like watching history docus or period shows. I can be relatively certain in a full-out docu about getting facts. On the other hand I watch a period drama for entertainment first. Here, I am not sure what I am getting. More fact oriented documentary or drama. Ultimately I began drifting in and out of episodes because I slowly lost interest. The whole show looks like it's made on a tight budget. I don't expect high grade sets and CGI but everything looked rather pale. The rating is very personal. I usually give 5s if I quit a show because I don't like it. I watched this to the end but that was mostly due to the fact of the low episode count.
This is ok, but I really disliked was Cleopatra, for some reason modern day film still make her either very light skin or European looking. Otherwise it was ok!
