I want more and more of Samantha. And I loved the fact that Carrie was a writer.
You can immediately see the appeal. It tells you about New York. It tells you about sex (it doesn't show you sex - it's an American show after all). Carrie is awesome. And to make this sexist comment of mine being counterbalanced: the story is told from the perspective of women. That's really a perspective missing in most shows even today. It's about their dreams, hopes and feelings. (Later in the show we'll see that too many dreams are focused on being liked by men, owning status objects and buying designer fashion that pleases men - but hey it's a start).
Were women in New York really giving up on love and throttling up on power?
