We are liveaboards again!! SV Nemea gets her first splash down and we tour Quebec City one last time before venturing out onto the Saint Lawrence River!
We get a little more comfortable on sv Nemea, make our way sailing down the St. Lawrence River, en route to Bahamas, and have a birthday bash for Julia in Trois Rivieres!!
We sail Nemea out of the St. Lawrence, and start heading south through the locks on the Richelieu Canal!
We finally cross the U.S. border and continue on our voyage south to Bahamas, sailing through Lake Champlain and the Champlain canal.
We finish the locks and sail Nemea down the Hudson River to Catskill, where we put up our mast!
We finish the Hudson River and sail Nemea into New York City, where we visit Taylor Swift at her $20 million dollar apartment!
We leave New York City and sail Nemea offshore for the very first time. Things break, things go wrong; but we have a blast, learn a lot, and experience a new found sense of accomplishment.
We sail into Norfolk, fix a few things on the boat, and drink a little too much at a moonshine distillery!
SV Nemea hosts a very difficult goodbye and starts down the best part of the Intracoastal Waterway.
An impromptu race breaks out as we battle another boat for the only free dock in Oriental, North Carolina. We cook up some local shrimp, and have the most amazing experience sailing from Cape Lookout to Wilmington.
We sail in the rain through Cape Fear, and meet some great people along the way!
A million things break on Nemea as we sail down the coast of Georgia!
We power down the coast of Florida, give Nemea a little TLC, and start preparing for our Gulf Stream crossing for the Bahamas!
We finally finish the Intracoastal Waterway, do some last-minute shopping, and make our first attempt at crossing the Gulf Stream to the Bahamas - which goes horribly wrong!!
We figure out what our anchor is snagged on and then move to a safer anchorage in northern West Palm Beach where we do some shopping and check out a brewery!
We sail into West End on Grand Bahama Island, have some salty showers, and take a bike tour around town!
We sail from Grand Bahama Island to the Berries and catch two fish along the way!
We hide from a storm at Great Harbour Cay, and deal with a cockroach infestation onboard! Yikes!
We discover the ruins of an old drug operation on Cistern Cay, and snorkel a drug plane wreck carrying tons of marijuana!
We sail over to the east coast of Great Harbour Cay and explore one of the most beautiful beaches in the world!
We sail from the Berry Islands to Eleuthera, tour around Spanish Wells, transit the dangerous Current Cut, and Julia tends to Shaun's ear infection!
We check out the Glass Window Bridge in Eleuthera, bathe like a queen at The Queen's Baths and sail on down to Governor's Harbor in the Bahamas!
We sail into Governor's Harbour in Eleuthera, Bahamas where we explore the waterfront and re-evaluate our fishing gear!
We get a little crazy on one of The Bahamas famous pink sand beaches in Eleuthera!

We enjoy the legendary Governor's Harbour fish fry, and sail on over to Rock Sound, where Shaun practices his crane style on the pier.
We sail over to Staniel Cay, Bahamas, where we visit the world famous swimming pigs on Big Majors and snorkel the Thunderball Grotto!
We welcome our first guest aboard sailing vessel Nemea, feed some sharks, and give a long overdue tour of our classic 1979 Tartan 37.
We sail into the Exuma National Park, and drop anchor at Fowl Cay, between Compass and Cambridge Cay, and claim it to ourselves for a few days. Shaun attempts to spear a lobster but is hunted by a giant barracuda instead!
We start sailing south to avoid a menacing storm and stop in Rock Sound and Emerald Bay along the way. We meet some friends and catch some fish as we make way for Georgetown, Bahamas.

We are left hopelessly adrift when our outboard motor dies during a storm. We say goodbye to Christine and try to come up with a quick solution to a broken oar.
The storms rage on in the Bahamas, we discuss what happens when a sailboat is struck by lightning, and do some troubleshooting on our outboard motor.
We get hit by a massive squall at anchor, and our boat gets knocked over by a 70 knot gust while we sleep! We discuss some of the dangers of sleeping on a boat.
Cabin fever strikes as repetitive cold fronts confine us to our boat. We troubleshoot our outboard fuel system and shower in the rain.
A family of dolphins swims past our boat, Julia gets a bad case of black teeth, and Shaun demonstrates how to make a conch horn.

We sail on over to Little Farmer's Cay and get a real taste of the legendary Bahamas hospitality.
We sail into Emerald Bay on Great Exuma Cay, have breakfast at the Grand Isle Resort, and have a storm party in the clubhouse!
We tuck away at Emerald Bay Marina in the Exumas and ride out a 50 knot wind storm!
We leave Emerald Bay Marina and do some rewarding gunkholing in the Exumas!
We explore Prime Cay in the Exumas and make some conch salad!
We sail over to Little Farmer's Cay for the big 5F festival and meet up with some old friends!
We enjoy the "Five F" Festival at Little Farmer's Cay and then have a good old fashion sailing race to Blackpoint!
We leave the Exumas behind, and starting making our way out of the Bahamas. We try trailing some ballyhoo along the way to help break our fishing block!
We sail across Eleuthera, get visited by a friendly whale, and anchor out in Royal Island.
We sail to the southern tip of the Abacos, do some fishing, and make way for the Berry Islands in the Bahamas.
We sail into Great Harbor Cay, join in a chill & grill, and do some needed boat work.
We dive down into the bilge and troubleshoot our wonky bilge pump in Great Harbor Cay!
After a fantastic season cruising The Bahamas, we finally decide it's time to move on!
