It is honestly insane how awful this episode is. When you're removed from it, you think "nah, it wasn't that bad, right? Not good, but wasn't too terrible." But no. It really is that terrible. A secret sister locked up since childhood because she killed another kid and set a house on fire. A secret sister who is able to basically mind control people just by having a conversation with them. A secret sister who had a 5 minute meeting with Moriarty, and that was apparently enough time to make all the plans in the goddamn world. A secret sister that the brilliant Sherlock Holmes somehow completely forgot about because... trauma?
And it looks like we're supposed to feel sorry for Eurus after all is said and done, because she felt alone?? How about no, because she literally murdered several people?
Oh, and then there's yet another posthumous Mary video, because of course there is. Strange how oddly prescient those videos seem to be, and how they are delivered at just the right moment.
It beggars belief how bad this is.
That sure fizzled out at the end. Dramatic and exciting in parts, but I'm not sure that any of it made a bit of sense. Remember when these guys used to solve crimes?
Trust me, you're better pretending Sherlock ended after season 2 finale.
If this is the last episode of the series, I have to say that it totally worth it, I laugh, I cried, I deduced with Sherlock. Memorable!
so can saw sue for copyright infringement or?
Their little "games" are getting old (for me). It's always like that. I want something new! This episode only got.me excited within the last 20mins of it. It's like they tried too hard to make a "complex" episode, but didn't quite get the intended effect.
The game's afoot! This is going to be insanely crazy! I can't wait! I'm so hyped right now, especially after having been playing #Sherlocklive! The game's on. Pleeeeease, Sunday, come already!
I am sorry to say but this show is completely idiotic. From the effort sherlock put into making think Watson he was dead to the complete unrealistic Moriarty actor (he may be a good actor but he has no place playing M)... to the Eureus story. They took soemthing that could have been good and turned it into something ... meh... at beast. I grade it 3
Probably the best Season Finale in the history of TV shows
So they threw a chainsaw first, and then the rope ?
Too much and too crazy.
the episode was so boring i had to skip through... the entire scene with eureus ... had no hold over me... it bore me to death
Definitely not the greatest season finale from Sherlock. After "The Lying Detective", I was expecting much more.
Lots of sizzle, not much steak. But a nice epitaph for a show that has probably seen its last episode.
So, the thing is, this was done brilliantly, but I think that it is too good a finale to keep going, perhaps even ruining the series if continuing it further than this point. Although I'm not denying the endless possibilities that Gatiss and Moffat could turn to, and also noting that I would like to see Eurus explored, which I'm 65% sure the writers will be wanting to do (possibly releasing new stories in 2019, if we're to guess), I just don't think it would work anymore. I think this is a good example to give when trying to explain the Romanian saying „Ce e prea mult, strică”, which roughly translates to Robert Browning's "Less is more".
Don't think too hard with this one and suspend disbelief and you will probably like it. I liked it even with the unnecessary complexities.
WHAT THE HELL MOFFAT! Now pls don't screw doctpr who too
What a disappointment. This show went from a fun, thinking show to a budget Saw. Please tell me there isn't a season 5 so the writers can't further embarrass themselves.
I hate to agree that it sure was a satisfying episode for a season final... it was great. The episode was brilianty, as always, but this one was different, darker.. but we learned a lot about the Holmes.
Despite being a good ending for this amazing series i hope there are more, cause this this show is too good to end just yet.
I certainly hope there will be more seasons because this episode left me wanting more, much more.
Brilliant actress who portrayed Eurus, I am a huge fan of this character and would actually like to see her and Moriarty more (together).
Very well written, suspense, tension and heartwarming dynamic between both Sherlock and Watson and Sherlock and Mycroft.
If only this whole season had not relied so much on that plain cringe-worthy posthumous Mary video.
well, that was... something lol. definitely something. all these other comments explain it well. the very ending was cute i felt. sherlock becoming more and more human as time went on. and more and more tan too lol.
SO SAD we didnt get to see more of the woman, as the episodes went on its as if they got some memo that sherlock shouldnt be so gay... but nothing of her, sadly. would have loved to haave more action of her domming him. sigh. but no.
The season is well spun, it has not stopped surprising me, that is if it annoys me when they deceive me. The series has been good. Goodbye Sherlock and Watson

That was some later season Pretty Little Liars shit. I cannot tell if I like it but the montage at the ending was somewhat heartwarming. It feels like a definite ending, and I no longer feel the need to ask for more given the plots of this season's episodes.
the most stressful yet amazing for season final.
What the hell is the problem with some comments here? This episode was amazing!
So what happened when Sherlock's sister had a gun pointed on Watson in the end of last episode ? They never seemed to mention it.
Quite extra, even for Sherlock series.
I hope it isn't the very end >_< Absolutely amazing!
Absolutely brilliant from beginning to end! This was more intense than a theatrical film and if this is truly goodbye than I am completely satisfied!

Okay, so. I genuinely love how it ends in the episode, but I'm not a fan of it's construction.
"The game" gets me a little tired as it goes on. Eurus is a great character, but I think we needed more building. She's truly infuriating as she is, but she could be MONUMENTAL if she had the time to shine, like Moriarty did - he does still, always stealing the spotlight to himself.
I don't think the show ended in the right moment. It could, probably should be more to it. I'm still expecting for it, somehow... even after all these years.
I'll keep waiting for my Bakerstreet Boys to come back.
