Thanks, power outing, now I have to write the beginning of my comment again...
It's a great idea to involve SMTM fans with this new addition, and the chance that their beat can appear in the show is a great motivator + then the SMTM judges don't have to come up with beats themselves. Win-win.
Takuwa's voice is still annoying, but his confidence made his part better than Woodie's. Woodie sounded like he was out of breath a lot. But he was so adorable thanking even the backstage staff and bowing before them. :sob: Punchnello didn't disappoint. Although the gap between the votes was huge, I understand it because Punchnello's energy and talent just shined so bright that it was an "obvious" choice. Zene and EK's stage was a real one. True professionalism. The song was average, but how the guys behaved on-stage was awesome to watch. Personally I preferred Zene, but in this case I was surprised by the difference in the votes because it seemed to me that the two guys were basically on the exact same level everything-wise. I'm sad to see Zene go, he was such a refreshing and calming addition to the show this season. :c Aw, the WYBH duo were cute, although the song itself was meh for me. I didn't like how Choi LB "said goodbye" to Seungmin, it was pretty rude professionalism-wise and friend-wise as well. Hell yeah, YunB and Young B did a great job together! Their harmonization at the hook and chorus was superB! (Aww, Donghyunie gently taking off the confettis out of Young B's hair!) OMG, Bryn looks so gorgeous with the hair extension and these clothes! Mckdaddy was way better imo because Bryn was kinda shouting all the time... I know she wanted to sound fierce or whatever, but she overdid it a bit. Mckdaddy's rap was solid. I loved the beat and the concept, and I also loved how cute they looked/behaved together everytime, as if they were really an uncle-niece duo. I liked Mckdaddy, he was so respectful and a real underdog with talent for me, so I'm sad to see him go too. :c Yunhway did an awesome job with their song, and although my choice would be Jjangyou rap-wise (because Yunhway didn't really rap at all this time), the girl's charisma and voice was just too perfect. The difference between the number of votes was surprising here as well...
I'm a bit torn regarding Lil Tachi... It's obvious that he was struggling mentally, so I would've expected the mentors to be more helpful than just saying "wake up" and "you have to be brighter"... like dude, depression doesn't go away like that... (I'm not a doctor or anything similar, I just read Tachi's behaviour and body language, and it was pretty obviously depression for me.) I'm glad Swings called him aside in that room and talked to him alone, these kinda talks (ofc with the right content) can help a lot. So yeah, I'm torn because he's young, he may not know how to deal with depression or this amount of stress, so I'd expect the judges to guide and help him in the right direction. On the other hand, he was on HSR, that rap survival show is exactly for his age (and he was on SMTM before too, I think), so he should've known that this is a harder competition with adults and a lot more audience.
Gotta be honest, I liked Tachi's rap more, but Donghyunie's voice is just so unique that he easily stole the spotlight (again). It wasn't really a fair fight because their tone is really different + the bigger "problem" is that Donghyun is a singing rapper, and while his part was good only because of the singing parts (imo), Tachi actually rapped. It was good to have someone so honest with his words and gestures on the show. I think if the audience would've been shown how much YunB prepared for this song and how Young B didn't show up on a creating process session and on an official practice, maybe the votes would've been switched for them. Obviously, it was the right choice to only show the people the performance, but still...
Lol, saying that Choi LB is your strongest rapper next to Young B... :grimacing: For me, it was immediately evident that they wanted an easy fight between their team members so they chose the strongest and the weakest one, but okay, producers, keep telling these blatant lies... :joy:
