This was really weak and disappointing after last week's much better episode. This once again ramped up the unfunny silliness with god-awful parodies of the Carry On... legends. It reminded me of one of the weakest Father Brown episodes, 9x07 "The Island of Dreams", where they did a similar idea with a pastiche of Hi-De-Hi.
The setup was not a bad one but the execution was awful. It was distracting to see some kind of alternate-reality versions of Sid James, Kenneth Williams, and Barbara Windsor getting mixed up in a murder mystery and where they were all really unpleasant people. I think I'll be checking out of Sister Boniface after this season. I really don't understand the high ratings it gets on here - a very disappointing spin-off from the charming Father Brown.

The programmes as a whole are a nice light relief series to just sit back, reminisce and enjoy.
