Pretty enjoyable, but then again it's always a fun time to see regular characters acting so different. Echoes of a Mirror Universe episode as it begins. But, is it just me, or does Janeway not actually seem all that different from her usual self...?

Robert Picardo does a stellar job as usual. I'm kind of surprised that the EMH backup has never been mentioned before. But then again, this is Voyager where each episode just does its own thing, so I guess I shouldn't be that surprised.

The ending wraps things up a bit quick. I think the episode spends too long going through the early parts without the Doctor, when the episode would have benefited more from spending time with him and what he can do to help these people see the truth.

One of the very few times a strongly disagree with Star Trek. Also in the conclusion of the story everthing went right the Doctor is trying to convince the currator to ignore historic facts in order to save the present status quo. It´s a cliché but one that´s true, those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.

Nevertheless, great episode with an interesting storyline. Personally I think some of the characters seem to be to much at home in this Warship Voyager scenario.

Would have been a good episode to expand a small arc on

One of the best Voyager episodes. Mostly because it's very different from the usual episodes. In the simulation, characters behave very different than what we are used to. Like in an evil parallel universe (hello DS9!). That's fun. The doctor takes center stage again and Picardo is great. It's witty, intelligent, philosophical. I like what they say about how the study of history, remembering it and learning from it, isn't as easy as you might think and sometimes it prevents from building a better future This episode doesn't need action. I like the little twist at the end, when it's revealed that the Doctor's final "speech" in the damaged museum is actually yet another simulation on display in a future museum.

Well, it seems that in our real history we have yet to find that tricorder.

Is Star Trek trying to imply we can only look dashing if we become a villain? This, Mirror Universe, Tal Shiars all seems to point to that.
